Keep a USB-C computer away from the display while carrying video, USB peripherals and RS-232 control through one direct Cat.6A link. The Lindy 39347 includes both transmitter and receiver, with 4K60 operation rated up to 70 m and 4K30 up to 100 m. It suits a remote touchscreen or presentation point when the source and display support the required USB-C video mode.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Use a source with USB-C DP Alt Mode and suitable USB-C video cables. For the specified distances, use a direct solid-core Cat.6A or higher U/UTP or F/UTP link. Laptop PD charging requires a separate USB-C supply; Ethernet switches are not supported.

Distance matched to video mode
The 70 m 4K60 reference uses 4:4:4 8-bit or 4:2:2 12-bit video. For a 100 m installation, plan for 4K30 and high-quality solid-core Cat.6A or higher U/UTP or F/UTP cabling.
 
USB peripherals at either end
Two USB-A device ports are provided on the transmitter; the receiver adds two USB-A and one USB-C device port. USB 2.0 bandwidth is up to 350 Mbps.
 
Power and charging are separate
The included supply and bidirectional PoC can power the extender pair from one end. Up to 100 W charging of the source requires a separate USB-C supply connected to the transmitter’s CHARGE input.
 
Control the installation
RS-232 pass-through and API commands support room-system integration. EDID presets, copy and user-defined modes help configure the source/display handshake.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the RJ45 ports connect through an Ethernet switch?
No. They are the point-to-point HDBaseT connection between transmitter and receiver. The manual specifically says not to connect them to a network port.
Does the included power supply provide 100 W laptop charging?
No. Source charging is supplied through a separate USB-C power supply at CHARGE. The included 24 V supply powers the extender system.
Can it connect to an HDMI or DisplayPort screen?
Lindy supports using a suitable USB-C DP Alt Mode video converter at the receiver output. Choose the converter for the display input and required resolution; it is not part of the verified package.
Singular Expert Insight
Confirm the source’s DP Alt Mode support and the actual cable route before choosing this kit. A 100 m headline does not mean 4K60 at 100 m, and a standard Ethernet network cannot replace the direct HDBaseT link.
