The Lindy 40463 is the USB-A Port Blocker Extra Lock Pack in orange: ten orange blockers that lock into unused USB Type-A ports on desktops, laptops, thin clients, kiosks and servers. Each blocker is pushed into the port by hand and stays there until it is pulled out with a matching orange Lindy key, so nobody can plug a USB stick, drive or unknown device into that port. In practice it stops files being copied to removable media on reception PCs, classroom machines and point-of-sale terminals, and keeps dust out of ports you do not use. The pack contains no key — you need a orange Lindy USB-A key, which we explain below.

Compatibility — check before buying:
This pack has no key. Lindy keys are colour-specific and only open blockers of the same colour, so these orange blockers need a orange key: the Extra Key 40623, or the Orange Kit 40453 (1 key + 4 blockers). Without one, fitted blockers cannot be removed. They fit USB Type-A ports only — not USB-C or Thunderbolt, for which Lindy sells separate USB-C blocker packs. Lindy does not publish a fit for ports recessed deep inside a case; if yours sit behind a cover or deep in a front panel, send us the device model and we check it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a key included?
No. This pack contains ten orange blockers only. To fit and later remove them you need a orange Lindy USB-A key: the Extra Key 40623, or the Kit 40453, which adds the key and four more blockers. Order it together with the pack.
Will a key from another colour open them?
No. Lindy states the keys are colour-specific and only work with blockers of the same colour. That lets you give each team or zone its own colour. If you already run Lindy blockers, tell us the colour and we match it.
Do they fit USB 3.x ports?
They fit the standard USB Type-A connector, which has the same shape on USB 2.0 and USB 3.x ports. They do not fit USB-C. Lindy does not publish a fit for ports recessed deep in a case — send us the model if in doubt.
What if I lose the key?
Removal is only possible with a orange key, so keep a spare with IT. The Extra Key 40623 is sold on its own for exactly that.
