The Lindy 40454 is the USB-A Port Blocker Kit, White (1x Key, 4x Locks): a starter set of one colour-coded key and four white blockers that lock into unused USB-A ports. Each blocker is pushed into an unused port by hand and stays there until it is pulled out with the matching white key, so nobody can plug a USB device or cable into that port without it. In practice it stops files being copied to a USB stick, keeps unknown USB devices off reception PCs, classroom machines and kiosks, and keeps dust out of ports you do not use.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Keys are colour-coded: Lindy states that a key only opens blockers of the same colour, so a white blocker needs a white key — a key from another colour will not release it. This kit contains the key. It fits USB-A ports only — not USB-C. Lindy does not publish a fit for deeply recessed or unusually shaped ports; if yours sit deep in a case or behind a cover, send us the device model and we check it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the key included?
Yes. The kit contains one white key and four white blockers. A spare white key is sold as 40624, and ten more blockers as 40464.
Will a key from another colour open it?
No. Lindy states the keys are colour-specific and only work with blockers of the same colour. That is deliberate — it lets you give each team or zone its own colour. If you already use Lindy blockers, tell us the colour and we match it.
Does it fit USB 3.x ports?
They fit the standard USB-A connector, which is the same shape on USB 2.0 and USB 3.x ports. Lindy does not publish a fit for ports recessed deep inside a case — send us the model if in doubt.
What if I lose the key?
Removal is only possible with a white key, so store it with your IT kit. A spare is available as 40624.
