Logitech G G440 — Hard Gaming Mouse Pad, Black
Hard surfaceUltra low frictionRubber base2-year term
The G440 is the hard one, and that is the whole point. Instead of cloth, Logitech G uses a polyethylene surface over a high-impact polystyrene core, with a natural rubber base firmly bonded to it. The surface gives ultra low friction — Logitech’s own tagline is low friction equals high speed — with a consistent surface texture optimised for the sensors in Logitech G mice, so tracking does not change as you move across the mat. It measures 340 x 280 mm and it is black. Logitech publishes a product carbon footprint of 3.08 kg CO2e and covers its mouse pads with a 2-year limited hardware warranty.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Buy this only if you want a hard surface. A hard pad glides much faster than cloth and stops the mouse far less, which is what high-sensitivity players who flick with the wrist want — and exactly what frustrates low-sensitivity players who aim with the whole arm and need the mouse to brake. If you overshoot targets, buy the cloth G240 instead. A hard surface also wears mouse feet faster than cloth and is noisier under a heavy click. It cannot be rolled: it is a rigid board, so it needs flat storage and a flat desk. Two things Logitech does not publish for the G440: no thickness and no weight. Retail listings quote 3 mm and 5 mm for the same product, which is exactly why we quote neither. There is also no water-resistance claim, no washing instruction and no wrist rest.
Best For
✓ High-sensitivity players who flick with the wrist
✓ Anyone who finds cloth mats too slow and draggy
✓ Logitech G mice, whose sensors the texture is tuned for
✓ Desks that stay flat and dry
✓ Players who want a mat that never creases
✓ Setups where consistency matters more than cushioning
Key Features
A genuinely hard surface
Polyethylene over a high-impact polystyrene core — not a stiff cloth mat, a rigid board with a moulded low-friction top.
Low friction equals high speed
Logitech G tunes the surface for the fastest glide rather than for braking, which is the right choice for high-sensitivity aiming.
Consistent, edge to edge
The surface texture is uniform and optimised for Logitech G sensors, so tracking does not change as the mouse crosses the pad.
Bonded, not glued on
The natural rubber base is firmly bonded to the core, so the layers do not separate or curl the way laminated pads do.

Singular Expert Insight
Hard pads are a preference, not an upgrade: the G440 is the fastest surface we stock and the wrong choice for anyone who aims with their arm. If you overshoot on it, the cloth G240 is the answer. Logitech publishes no thickness for it and we will not invent one. See our mouse pads and wrist rests and our wireless mice.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You play at high sensitivity, want the fastest possible glide, and prefer a rigid board that never creases.
Skip it if
You aim with your whole arm and need the mouse to brake, you want a rollable mat, or you want a published thickness.
Also consider
