Manhattan 164405 — 7-Port Industrial USB 3.0 Hub, DIN-Rail Mountable
7 screw-lock USB 3.0 portsDIN-rail bracket included9–40 V DC jack or terminal block20 kV ESD protection
The Manhattan 164405 is a seven-port USB 3.0 hub built for control cabinets and machine panels: screw-locking USB-A ports so cables cannot vibrate loose, a DIN-rail bracket and wall brackets in the box, power from a 9–40 V DC jack or a terminal block, and 20 kV ESD protection. It is the USB 3.0 hub to specify where the StarTech ST4200USBM is too slow.
Compatibility — check before buying:
No power adapter is included. Manhattan recommends a 32 W / 12 V DC supply; the hub also runs bus-powered from the computer for low-draw devices, and the terminal block and the DC jack must not be used at the same time. All ports are USB-A with BC 1.2 charging support but no published per-port current; there is no USB-C, no video and no laptop charging. The screw-lock feature needs USB cables with locking screws to be useful; the included 1 m host cable has them. Operating range is 0–40 °C.
Best For
✓ Control cabinets and machine panels on DIN rail
✓ Industrial PCs with cameras, scanners and PLC cables
✓ Vehicles and mobile installations on 12–24 V DC
✓ Kiosks and ticketing machines
✓ Lab equipment that must not disconnect
✓ Any USB 3.0 hub that will be mounted rather than placed
Key Features
Ports that lock
Seven USB 3.2 Gen 1 (USB 3.0) 5 Gbps ports with screw-locking connectors, backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1, plus BC 1.2 charging support and green power and port LEDs.
Three ways to power
Bus power from the host, a 5.5 x 2.1 mm DC jack or a 3-pin terminal block, both accepting 9–40 V DC with reverse-polarity protection, so a cabinet supply or a vehicle battery can feed it.
Made for the panel
A DIN-rail bracket to IEC/EN 60715, two detachable metal wall brackets, rubber feet, a metal housing and 20 kV ESD plus over-current protection.

Singular Expert Insight
For a cabinet this is the hub we point to before the StarTech ST4200USBM whenever the devices are USB 3.0 — cameras, fast scanners, storage — because it adds 5 Gbps, screw-lock ports and a 9–40 V input that suits vehicles as well as panels, at the cost of buying the supply separately. On a desk the Lindy 43128 is the more sensible metal hub. See all three in our USB hubs range, alongside the network switches that share the same DIN rail. Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You are mounting a USB 3.0 hub on a DIN rail or wall in a cabinet or vehicle, have 9–40 V DC available, and want screw-lock ports and ESD protection.
Skip it if
You need a power adapter in the box, USB-C ports, video, or published fast-charge currents. Bring your own 12 V supply.
Also consider
StarTech ST4200USBM for a smaller USB 2.0 DIN-rail hub; Lindy 43128 for a desk-side metal hub with PSU included.
