The Manhattan 154499 active adapter converts a compatible computer’s USB-C connection into an RS232 serial connection through a male DB9 connector. The Prolific PL2303 chipset supports serial communication up to 3Mbps, while separate Power, TX and RX LEDs show connection activity. Its 1m pure-copper cable uses foil and braid shielding and a PVC jacket.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Verify the equipment uses RS232 and accepts the connector gender, pin wiring and serial settings. A DB9 shape alone does not establish compatibility. The connected device and application must support the chosen baud rate; this cable is not a TTL-level serial adapter or a display connection.
