The Microchip PD-9001GR/AT/AC-EU is a single-port indoor PoE midspan — a PoE injector — that adds up to 30 W of IEEE 802.3at power to a Gigabit Ethernet link. It sits between a switch without PoE and one powered device, such as an access point, IP camera or IP phone, so the device runs from the network cable alone. Data passes at 10/100/1000 Mbps, the unit is AC powered in a compact housing, and it complies with IEEE 802.3at, RoHS, WEEE and CE. This part number comes with a European power cord. In practice it is the quick way to power one PoE+ device where the switch has no PoE.
Compatibility — check before buying:
This version has an EU power cord. Cyprus uses UK sockets; Microchip also makes the PD-9001GR/AT/AC-UK with a UK cord — tell us if you need that one. It is for indoor use and supports standard 802.3af/at devices; it is not a passive 24 V injector. Microchip does not publish the dimensions or box contents on its product page. Not sure?
