The Zebra KT-65578-01R is the adjustable mounting bracket originally made by Motorola for its MiniScan fixed-mount barcode scanners, and still listed by Zebra for the DS457 fixed-mount imager. It holds the scanner horizontally on a tabletop or vertically on a wall, and lets you tilt it to the angle that suits the barcode path.
It is aimed at kiosks, self-service points, conveyor and production lines, and any counter where the scanner must stay in one place while items or documents are presented to it.
Before you order: For the Zebra DS457, this bracket is not enough on its own: Zebra lists the adapter plate kit KT-152342-01 as required, because it adapts the DS457 to the MiniScan mounting holes. Order both if you are mounting a DS457.

What It Means in Practice
- Once mounted, the scanner is held firmly and cannot be lifted out by passers-by — useful in public kiosks.
- You set the angle once during installation so the scan window points at the presentation area or conveyor.
- The same bracket works in horizontal (tabletop) and vertical (wall) orientation.
- With the KT-152342-01 adapter plate it takes the DS457, so older MiniScan installs can be upgraded without changing the mounting concept.
What Will Not Work
- It does not fit handheld scanners such as DS2208, DS4608 or LI2208 — those use stands and holders.
- The DS457 does not fit without the KT-152342-01 adapter plate.
- It is not a stand with a base: it must be screwed to a table, wall or panel.
- It does not provide power or data connections — the scanner cable is separate.
