Mushkin Redline 8GB DDR4-3200 Desktop DIMM
8GBDDR4-3200 CL221.2VDIMM 288-pin
The Mushkin Redline MRE4U320NNNF8G is a 8GB 288-pin unbuffered DDR4 desktop DIMM rated at 3200 MT/s with CL22 latency at 1.2V, for DDR4 desktop PCs that need more or faster memory.
It comes as one 8GB module, giving 8GB in total and up to 25.6 GB/s of peak bandwidth per module (PC4-25600). DDR4 is still the memory of a very large installed base of Intel 6th–14th Gen and AMD AM4 desktops, and adding capacity is the cheapest upgrade most of those PCs can get.
Typical uses: upgrading an office or home desktop that feels slow with today’s browsers and Office, adding capacity to a gaming PC, or replacing a failed module in an existing DDR4 system.
Before you order: DDR4 desktop only — it does not fit DDR5 or DDR3 motherboards.
What's in the Box
- 1 × 8GB DDR4 DIMM module
- Manufacturer packaging — memory installs tool-free into the slot, no cables or drivers needed
What It Means in Practice
- It is a standard JEDEC module: the system reads its settings automatically and runs it at 3200 MT/s CL22 if the platform supports that speed — no BIOS tuning. On a platform limited to a lower speed it simply runs slower, which is normal.
- A single module runs in single-channel mode. For dual-channel bandwidth (noticeably better in games and with integrated graphics) pair it with a second identical module — buying a matched kit is the safer route.
- 8GB covers browsing, e-mail and Office; for gaming, heavy multitasking or many browser tabs, 16GB is the practical minimum today.
- Installation takes a few minutes: power off and unplug the PC, open the side panel, release the slot latches and press each module straight down until the latches click shut on both ends.
- After installation, Windows Task Manager (Performance → Memory) shows the total capacity, the speed in MT/s and how many slots are used — a quick way to confirm everything is detected.
What Will Not Work
- DDR5 or DDR3 motherboards — the notch is in a different position
- Laptops and mini PCs that take SO-DIMM memory
- Servers that require registered (RDIMM) ECC memory — this is non-ECC unbuffered memory
- Guaranteed dual-channel matching with a different brand or model already in the PC
Key Features
3200 MT/s · CL22
Rated 3200 MT/s (PC4-25600) with 22-22-22 timings at 1.2V.
8GB module
Single 8GB module.
Standard-height module
No heat spreader — it fits under any CPU cooler and in slim laptops and small-form-factor cases.
Low-voltage DDR4
1.2V operation — standard DDR4 voltage, so it runs cool and suits laptops and always-on PCs.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I check that it fits my PC?
Look up the motherboard model’s memory support: it must list DDR4 DIMM, a maximum capacity of at least 8GB. Send us the model and we check it for you.
Will it run slower in an older system?
Yes, and that is fine: DDR memory is backwards compatible in speed, so a 3200 MT/s module runs at the highest speed the motherboard and CPU support.
What does the warranty cover?
Limited lifetime warranty per Mushkin. Singular adds its own 1-year warranty and handles any claim for you — bring or send us the module and we take care of the manufacturer process.
Do I need to update the BIOS?
Usually not for standard modules. On newer platforms, a current BIOS improves memory compatibility and stability — it is worth updating before installing high-capacity or high-speed memory.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
DDR4 upgrades are about capacity first: going from 8GB to 16GB or from 16GB to 32GB is the change you will notice every day. Browse our full
memory (RAM) range for other capacities and speeds.
✓ Buy it if you have a DDR4 desktop and need 8GB that just works at JEDEC settings.
✕ Skip it if you are building new on DDR5, or your PC is a laptop.
→ Also consider a 2-module kit for dual-channel from day one.
Not sure it fits? Send us the model of your motherboard or PC and we will check memory compatibility before you order.
