NEC MultiSync EA272F — 27" Full HD Business Monitor with USB-C 65W
27" AH-IPSFull HD 1920x1080USB-C 65WDP daisy chain
The NEC MultiSync EA272F is a 27-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) AH-IPS business monitor with a single-cable USB-C connection that carries video, audio, USB data and up to 65W of laptop charging, aimed at offices that want one cable per desk.
It is part of the Sharp NEC E-Series: a fully adjustable stand, a 3-port USB 3.1 hub, DisplayPort out for daisy chaining a second screen, and two sensors that dim the screen when you walk away or when the room gets darker. Colour coverage of 102% sRGB is more than enough for office documents, dashboards and web work.
Before you order: 65W USB-C power delivery charges most 13–14" business laptops; 15–16" performance laptops that ship with a 90–140W charger will still need their own adapter. The laptop USB-C port must support DisplayPort Alt Mode for video.
What's in the Box
- NEC MultiSync EA272F monitor with height-adjustable stand
- Power cable
- DisplayPort cable
- USB-C cable
- USB cable (upstream for the hub)
- ControlSync cable
- Setup manual and setup guide
What It Means in Practice
- 27" at Full HD gives about 81 pixels per inch — large, easy-to-read text at normal desk distance, but not as sharp as a 27" QHD or 4K panel.
- One USB-C cable from a compatible laptop gives you picture, sound through the 1W+1W speakers, the USB hub for keyboard and mouse, and up to 65W charging.
- DisplayPort out lets you chain a second EA-series monitor from the same laptop (DP 1.2 MST source required).
- The human sensor switches the screen to low power when you leave the desk; the ambient light sensor adjusts brightness automatically.
- ControlSync lets IT copy settings from one monitor to up to 24 others over a cable — useful for uniform office roll-outs.
What Will Not Work
- No HDR and no high refresh rate — 60 Hz Full HD is for office work, not gaming or HDR video.
- No built-in network (RJ45) port, no webcam and no KVM switch.
- MacBooks with base Apple M1/M2/M3 chips drive only one external display natively, so daisy chaining a second screen from them will not work.
- No 4K: if you work with fine detail or spreadsheets with many columns, a higher-resolution 27" panel is a better fit.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can it charge my laptop?
Yes, up to 65W over USB-C. That covers most ultrabooks and 14" business laptops; higher-power 15–16" models will charge slowly or need their own adapter.
Does it work in portrait mode?
Yes. The stand pivots ±90°, so you can rotate it for long documents or code.
Can I connect two of these to one laptop?
Yes, through DisplayPort out (MST), if your laptop or dock supports MST. Base Apple M-series MacBooks do not.
Is there a 24" version?
Yes, the EA242F shares the same features in a 24" size — ask us for availability of the size you need.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
The EA272F is a sensible office workhorse: USB-C 65W, a real ergonomic stand, a USB hub and the sensors that save energy in shared offices. Its limit is resolution — Full HD on 27" is comfortable but not sharp. Pair it with a monitor arm from our
monitor accessories range if you need more desk space.
✓ Buy it if you want a single-cable 27" office monitor with a full ergonomic stand and laptop charging.
✕ Skip it if you need sharp text for detailed work (choose 27" QHD/4K) or a monitor with built-in LAN.
→ Also consider EIZO FlexScan EV2720S for 27" QHD with USB-C 70W, or HP Series 7 Pro 727pk for 4K Thunderbolt 4.
