DIGITUS DK-1612-010 Cat 6 U/UTP Patch Cable, 1 m Grey

Cat 6 U/UTP1 m · Grey250 MHz · 1 GbpsPVC jacket

The DIGITUS DK-1612-010 is a 1 m grey Cat 6 U/UTP patch cable with RJ45 plugs on both ends, built for rack patching and short desk-to-wall-outlet runs. It is a proper Cat 6 Class E cord (the feed's "CAT 6e" is not a real category) with 250 MHz bandwidth, snagless boots and a length indication on the plug, a solid everyday cord for Gigabit desks and racks. Part number DK-1612-010 (EAN 4016032371861) identifies this exact length and colour, so you can reorder identical cords when you extend a cabinet or colour-code a new VLAN.

Before you buy
This is an unshielded (U/UTP) Cat 6 cord with a PVC jacket — ideal for Gigabit (and 2.5/5GBASE-T over short runs). For guaranteed 10 GbE or halogen-free sites pick DIGITUS DK-1644-A Cat 6A LSOH. "CAT 6e" in distributor listings is a label, not a standard.

Key Features

Cat 6 Class E, 250 MHz
Twice the bandwidth of Cat 5e for clean Gigabit and short-run multi-gig links.

Snagless booted plugs
Booted plugs with strain relief keep the latch intact when the cable is pulled through desks and trays.

Length indication
The length is marked on the plug boot, which makes cabinet documentation and re-patching easier.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the DK-1612-010 work with my switch, router or patch panel?
Yes. It is a standard RJ45-to-RJ45 Cat 6 patch cord wired straight-through (T568B), so it connects any Ethernet port to any other — switches, routers, NAS units, access points, patch panels and PCs. Modern ports auto-negotiate speed and handle crossover automatically.
Is a 1 m cable long enough?
1 m suits a PC, printer or phone next to a switch or wall outlet, and longer patching inside a rack. For patch-panel-to-switch jumpers in the same cabinet 0.25–0.5 m is tidier; for across-the-room runs choose 3–5 m.
What is the difference between the DK-1612-010 and the DIGITUS DK-1617 Cat 6 cord?
Both are DIGITUS Cat 6 U/UTP 250 MHz cords. The DK-1612-010 (DK-1612) has a PVC jacket; DK-1617 uses an LSOH halogen-free jacket. Choose DK-1617 for offices or public buildings that require LSZH cabling.
Singular Expert Insight
The DK-1612-010 is the no-fuss Gigabit patch cord: unshielded, flexible and easy to route, which is exactly what most office desks need. Choose the DK-1617 LSOH version where halogen-free cable is required, or DK-1644-A Cat 6A for 10 GbE. Browse the full range of network cables for other lengths and colours, or pair it with our network switches.

Buyer's Guide
