Parker IM Rollerball Pen — Matte Black Lacquer, Black PVD Trim
Capped rollerballBlack ink · fineQuink refillGift box
The Parker IM Rollerball (2127743) in matte black lacquer, black pvd trim is a capped rollerball pen with a tapered metal body and a smooth-flowing Quink black fine refill, supplied in a Parker gift box — a classic business gift or an everyday pen for signing and note-taking.
Rollerball ink flows more freely than ballpoint ink, so lines are darker and writing needs less pressure. The cap protects the tip and keeps the liquid ink from drying out between uses.
Before you order: The IM Rollerball takes Parker Quink rollerball refills only (black or blue, e.g. fine black 1950321). Parker ballpoint or gel refills are a different format — order rollerball refills.
What's in the Box
- 1 × Parker IM Rollerball pen, matte black lacquer, black pvd trim
- 1 × Quink rollerball refill, black, fine (fitted)
- Parker gift box
What It Means in Practice
- Capped design: put the cap back after use, as rollerball ink dries faster than ballpoint ink if left open.
- Fine tip gives a crisp, dark line — good for signatures and forms.
- Liquid ink can show through very thin paper.
- The gift box makes it ready to hand over as a corporate or personal gift.
What Will Not Work
- Not a ballpoint or fountain pen — it uses rollerball refills only.
- Not retractable — it has a cap, not a click mechanism.
- No engraving included.
- Line width in mm is not published by Parker for the fine refill.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
The IM is Parker’s accessible metal-bodied range: it feels substantial in the hand without the price of the premium collections, which is why it is a common corporate gift. Order a spare Quink rollerball refill with it. More writing instruments are in our stationery range.
✓ Buy it if you want a smart capped rollerball for signing and daily writing, or a gift in a Parker box.
✕ Skip it if you prefer a click pen or a ballpoint that does not dry out if left uncapped.
→ Also consider Parker IM Rollerball in black lacquer with gold trim (1931659), or a Parker IM ballpoint for click operation.
