Peach PS500-10 cross-cut paper shredder — security level P-3, 4 x 52 mm particles, 11 litre bin
Security level P-34 x 52 mm cross-cut6 sheets per pass11 L bin
The Peach PS500-10 is a compact cross-cut paper shredder that cuts paper into 4 x 52 mm particles to security level P-3 (DIN 66399), shredding up to 6 sheets of 70 g/m² paper per pass into an 11 litre bin — sized for a home office or a single desk that regularly disposes of letters, invoices and documents with personal data.
Cross-cut means each A4 page ends up as roughly 300 small particles instead of long strips, which makes reassembly far harder than with a strip-cut shredder. It also takes credit cards, starts automatically when you insert paper and has a reverse function for clearing jams.
Before you order: Remove staples and paper clips before shredding — the PS500-10 is not designed for them. It is built for short sessions: let it cool down after a few minutes of continuous use; the overheating protection stops the motor if you do not.
What's in the Box
- Peach PS500-10 cross-cut shredder head
- 11 litre waste bin (approx. 80 A4 sheets of shredded paper)
What It Means in Practice
- Security level P-3 is the usual recommendation for documents with personal data, such as bank letters, invoices, payslips and contracts.
- Six sheets of 70 g/m² paper (five of 80 g/m²) per pass means a few folded letters at once, not a whole stack.
- The 11 litre bin holds about 80 shredded A4 sheets, so emptying it is a regular but quick task.
- Auto start, reverse and overheating protection make it safe to leave next to the desk for everyday use by the whole household or office.
What Will Not Work
- It will not shred staples or paper clips — remove them first.
- It is not for CDs, DVDs or hard disks — media need a shredder rated for them.
- It does not meet higher security levels (P-4 and above) required for highly confidential or classified documents.
- It is not built for continuous high-volume shredding in a busy shared office.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is P-3 secure enough for personal data?
For everyday private and business documents with personal data — invoices, letters, payslips — P-3 is the level usually recommended. Highly confidential documents call for P-4 or higher.
Can I shred a letter with the staple still in?
No. Remove staples and paper clips first; they are not supported and will wear the cutters.
How long can it run without a break?
It is designed for short sessions and has overheating protection. If it stops after a few minutes of continuous shredding, let it cool down before continuing.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
The PS500-10 is a sensible step up from strip-cut for anyone shredding documents with personal data at home or at a single desk: P-3 cross-cut turns each page into small particles, and the 11 litre bin keeps it compact. If you only need to destroy non-sensitive paper and want something that sits on your existing waste basket, the
Peach PS400-00 strip-cut shredder is the cheaper, lower-security alternative.
✓ Buy it if you shred letters, invoices and other documents with personal data a few sheets at a time at home or in a small office.
✕ Skip it if you need to shred large stacks every day, media such as CDs or drives, or documents that require P-4 or higher.
→ Also consider a strip-cut attachment shredder for non-sensitive paper, or a P-4 or P-5 shredder for confidential documents.
