Pelikan SILVERINO Coloured Pencils — Thin Triangular, 24 Colours
24 coloursThin triangular gripApprox. 3 mm soft leadFSC 100% wood
The Pelikan 700665 is the SILVERINO set of 24 thin triangular coloured pencils with a soft, break-resistant lead of about 3 mm — made for children at school and for anyone who colours a lot and wants pencils that sit comfortably in the hand.
The ergonomic triangular body has embossed silver triangles on all three sides, which give the fingers a natural, non-slip grip. Each pencil has a name field for labelling — useful in a classroom — and the wood is FSC 100% certified.
What's in the Box
- 24 Pelikan SILVERINO thin coloured pencils in 24 colours (including a light skin tone)
- Hanging cardboard box
What It Means in Practice
- Triangular pencils guide a correct three-finger grip and do not roll off the desk.
- Soft lead gives bright, even colour with little pressure, and the break-resistant core means fewer broken tips when sharpening or dropping.
- The name field on each pencil helps when a whole class uses the same set.
- 24 shades cover school projects, maps and colouring books without needing a second set.
What Will Not Work
- This is the thin SILVERINO; the thick SILVERINO (“Dick”) is a different product for younger children.
- They are dry coloured pencils, not watercolour pencils — they do not blend with water.
- Thin triangular pencils need a standard-size sharpener; jumbo sharpeners for thick pencils will not grip them properly.
- For a 12-colour set order Pelikan 700634 instead.

Frequently Asked Questions
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
Triangular pencils are the standard recommendation for primary school because they encourage a relaxed grip, and a 24-colour set rarely needs topping up mid-year. Add a matching sharpener and eraser, and see our stationery range for school and office supplies.
✓ Buy it if you want a comfortable, break-resistant 24-colour set for school or colouring.
✕ Skip it if you need watercolour pencils or the thick SILVERINO for very young children.
→ Also consider Pelikan 700634, the 12-colour SILVERINO set.
