Pelikan red/blue pencil — thick triangular marking pencil, pack of 2
Red + blueTriangular3 mm leadFSC
The Pelikan red/blue colour pencil thick triangular (art. 811118) is a bicolour pencil with a red lead at one end and a blue lead at the other, a 3 mm soft, break-resistant lead and an FSC-certified 100% wood casing, supplied as 2 pieces on a blister card, for marking, underlining, reviewing and correcting.
Teachers, editors and students use the two colours to separate notes at a glance — for example red for corrections and blue for comments, or for syllable marking in primary school. The thick triangular shape gives a relaxed, non-slip grip and does not roll off the desk.
Before you order: This is a thick pencil: it needs a sharpener with a large hole for thick pencils, not only a standard 8 mm sharpener.
What's in the Box
- 2 × Pelikan red/blue bicolour pencil, thick triangular, on blister card
What It Means in Practice
- One pencil, two colours — no need to switch pens while correcting.
- The soft 3 mm lead gives strong, visible lines on normal and recycled paper.
- Triangular shape supports a correct pencil grip, useful for children learning to write.
- Sharpen both ends with a thick-pencil sharpener.
What Will Not Work
- Standard 8 mm-only sharpeners — the pencil is thicker.
- Erasable notes: coloured leads do not erase as cleanly as graphite.
- Writing on glossy, plastic or glass surfaces.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
The red/blue pencil is a classic for a reason: one tool for corrections and comments, without ink that bleeds through. Pelikan's thick triangular version is comfortable for long marking sessions and for small hands. Pair it with a double-hole sharpener from our
stationery range.
