Philips Tableaux 25BDL4150I — 25" Full-Colour ePaper Signage Display, Android 11
25.3" colour ePaper3200 x 1800Zero power for static imagePoE++ · Wi-Fi · LAN
The Philips Tableaux 25BDL4150I is a 25-inch full-colour ePaper signage display with 3200x1800 resolution and a built-in Android 11 player, for menus, room signs, timetables, posters and price boards that show static content and need almost no power.
ePaper is reflective, like printed paper: it is readable in bright light, needs no backlight, and Philips states it uses zero power to keep a static image on screen 24/7, using power only when the content changes. The display can be powered by its 20V adapter or over a single network cable with PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt Type 3), connects by Wi-Fi or Ethernet, and is managed remotely through PPDS Wave.
Before you order: This is a static-image display: content changes take time to redraw and it is not meant for video or animation. It is for indoor use at 15–35 °C. The battery bay takes 4 x 18650 cells, but batteries are not included.
What's in the Box
- Philips 25BDL4150I ePaper display
- AC power adapter
- Quick start guide
What It Means in Practice
- Install it where there is no power socket: one PoE++ cable from an 802.3bt switch carries both power and network.
- Content is uploaded as images or through Android/web apps and scheduled remotely in PPDS Wave.
- Because there is no backlight it looks like a printed poster and does not glare in sunlit rooms or windows.
- It can be mounted landscape or portrait with a VESA 100 wall mount.
What Will Not Work
- It will not play video or smooth animations — ePaper redraws the whole image.
- It is not a computer monitor and has no HDMI or DisplayPort input (USB is listed as the media input).
- A standard PoE or PoE+ (802.3af/at) switch will not power it — it needs PoE++ 802.3bt Type 3, or the supplied adapter.
- Not for outdoor or hot locations — operating range is 15–35 °C.
- The on-screen menu is in English and Simplified Chinese only.

How often can I change the content?
As often as your schedule needs; each change uses a little power and takes time to redraw, so it suits images, not video.
Can it run without any cable?
With 4 x 18650 batteries fitted (not included) it can show and update content without a power cable, connected by Wi-Fi.
Which switch do I need for PoE?
A switch or injector that supplies PoE++ IEEE 802.3bt Type 3.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
Colour ePaper is ideal where the message changes a few times a day and power or cabling is hard to reach — meeting-room signs, café menus, shop windows. If you need video or moving content, a conventional LCD signage display is the right tool. See our
commercial displays.
✓ Buy it if you need always-on, paper-like colour signage with very low power and single-cable PoE++ installation.
✕ Skip it if you need video, animation, outdoor use, or an HDMI monitor.
→ Also consider An 802.3bt PoE++ injector if your switch is only PoE+.
