PLANET HPOE-460 — add PoE+ to four Gigabit ports at once
4x PoE+ · 120W802.3af/atGigabitDesktop or wall
The PLANET HPOE-460 is a 4-port Gigabit PoE+ injector hub (mid-span) that adds IEEE 802.3af/at power — up to 30.8 W per port and 120 W in total — to four existing network links. It lets you power four IP cameras, access points or VoIP phones from a non-PoE switch without replacing it.
Each of the four channels has a data-in port from the switch and a data-plus-power port to the device. The unit runs from an external 52–56 V DC power adapter.
Before you order: The 120 W total is shared: four devices at the full 30.8 W would exceed it, so plan for an average of up to 30 W per port. PLANET does not publish the package contents on the product page — ask us to confirm the power adapter before ordering.
What's in the Box
- PLANET HPOE-460 4-Port PoE+ Injector Hub
- Package contents are not published by PLANET for this model — ask us before ordering
What It Means in Practice
- Four PoE+ devices can be added to an existing non-PoE switch with one compact unit instead of four separate injectors.
- 802.3af devices (up to 15.4 W) and 802.3at devices (up to 30.8 W) are detected automatically.
- Gigabit pass-through keeps full speed for access points and cameras.
- PoE in-use LEDs on each port show which devices draw power.
What Will Not Work
- 802.3bt devices (60–90 W) will not be fully powered.
- It is not a switch: the four channels stay separate and still need four switch ports.
- No 2.5G/10G pass-through.
- Without its external DC power adapter (52–56 V) it cannot supply PoE.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
A tidy way to power four PoE+ IP cameras or access points from an existing non-PoE switch. If you are buying a new switch anyway, a PoE+ switch is usually the cleaner option.
✓ Buy it if you need PoE+ on four ports and want to keep your current switch.
✕ Skip it if your devices need 802.3bt power, or you can replace the switch with a PoE model.
→ Also consider PLANET HPOE-1200G 12-port managed PoE+ injector hub for larger installations.
