PLANET IPOE-175 — Industrial IP67 60 W 802.3bt PoE++ Injector
60 W PoE++IP67 · IK1024–56 V DC input-40 to 75 °C
The PLANET IPOE-175 is an industrial single-port IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ injector in an IP67, IK10 aluminium case, built to add up to 60 W of PoE to one Ethernet line in outdoor and harsh locations — PTZ cameras, outdoor access points, IP intercoms and similar high-power devices. It sits between a non-PoE switch port and the powered device and transmits Gigabit data and power over the same cable.
It runs from a 24–56 V DC source, which it boosts internally to the 54 V needed for PoE++, so it can be fed from vehicle, solar or industrial DC systems. Three waterproof cable glands make the RJ45 connections weatherproof, and it operates from -40 to 75 °C with ±8 kV ESD and ±6 kV surge protection.
Before you order: The IPOE-175 needs a DC power source (24–56 V DC) wired to its terminal block — it does not plug into mains. Plan a DC supply or battery system for it.
What's in the Box
- IPOE-175 PoE++ injector
- Wall-mount kit
- Power cable with 2-pin terminal block
- 3 × M22 waterproof cable glands
- Spanner
- Ground wire
- QR code sheet
What It Means in Practice
- Mount it on a pole or wall next to the camera, run data from the switch and DC power to it, and one cable continues to the camera with data and 60 W.
- Use the supplied cable glands on every RJ45 connection to keep the IP67 rating.
- Connect the ground wire — it is required for the surge protection to work.
- It is backward compatible with 802.3at (PoE+) devices, delivering up to 30 W to them.
What Will Not Work
- It does not run from AC mains directly — a 24–56 V DC supply is required.
- It is not a switch: it powers one port and does not add network ports.
- Non-standard or passive-PoE devices that do not perform 802.3at/bt detection will not be powered.
- Third-party cable glands are not recommended; use the PLANET glands supplied.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I power it from a 12 V supply?
No. The input range is 24–56 V DC; 12 V is below the minimum.
Will it power an 802.3at camera?
Yes, it is backward compatible and will deliver up to 30 W to an 802.3at device.
Can I mount it outdoors without a cabinet?
Yes, that is what the IP67 case and cable glands are for — as long as all glands are fitted and the unit is grounded.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
Outdoor PoE failures usually come from water in the RJ45 or a missing ground, not from the injector. The IPOE-175 solves the first with its glands; you solve the second with the ground wire. If you have a PoE++ switch indoors instead, see our
switches range.
✓ Buy it if you need 60 W PoE++ for one outdoor camera or AP and you have 24–56 V DC available on site.
✕ Skip it if you only have AC mains at the location, or you need to power several devices from one point.
→ Also consider a PoE++ switch indoors with outdoor-rated cabling, or a DIN-rail 48 V supply such as the TRENDnet TI-S24048 to feed DC systems.
Not sure about the DC supply or the device power? Send us the camera or AP model and the available power source and we will check before you order.
