Poly IP Ceiling Microphone Array — 360° ceiling audio for Poly G7500 and Studio rooms
360° pickupPoly Acoustic FenceUp to 3 per systemFor G7500 · G62 · X72
The Poly IP Ceiling Microphone Array (875S1AA) is a ceiling-mounted IP microphone with three hypercardioid elements and 360° pickup, for meeting rooms running a Poly G7500, Poly Studio G62 or Poly Studio X72 where table microphones would clutter the table.
Each array covers a circle of about 7.3 m (24 ft) diameter — roughly 37 m² — and up to three arrays can be combined for rooms up to about 110 m². Poly Acoustic Fence technology rejects sound from outside the defined pickup area, while full-duplex audio, automatic gain control, noise suppression and instant-adaptation echo cancellation keep speech natural for remote participants. The small sphere hangs at an adjustable drop height; the plenum-rated interface module sits above the ceiling tile.
Before you order: Not every Poly Studio X works with it: Poly lists Studio X50, X52 and X70 as NOT supported. On Studio G62 and X72 the port does not power the mic, so you need a PoE injector or an approved PoE switch.
What's in the Box
- Ceiling microphone (sphere)
- Electronic interface module (plenum-rated)
- Ceiling mounting hardware
- 15.2 m (50 ft) plenum Ethernet cable
- 2.1 m (7 ft) shielded CAT5E cable
- 0.6 m (2 ft) 6-pin mini-XLR cable
- Wall plate
- Cable grommet
What It Means in Practice
- Clear table: the microphone hangs from the ceiling, so laptops, cables and cups do not block it and nobody pushes it aside.
- Plan 1 array per roughly 37 m² of seating area, up to 3 per Poly G7500 or Studio G62.
- The dot on the sphere must point toward the main display, and the ceiling must support 0.9 kg.
- Settings and status are handled through the host system's Poly VideoOS.
What Will Not Work
- Poly Studio X50, X52 and X70 are not supported.
- No USB — it does not connect to a PC, laptop or USB video bar directly.
- It is not the older analogue ceiling mic for HDX or Group Series systems.
- It cannot be daisy-chained, and cannot be used together with Poly Trio C60 on G7500/G62.
- On Studio G62/X72 it needs a PoE injector or supported PoE switch (not included).
