The Poly Voyager Focus 2, part number 9T9J3AA#AC3, is a wireless stereo headset built around two things office users actually complain about: noise and being interrupted. Digital hybrid ANC runs at high, low or off, Poly Acoustic Fence keeps the room out of the outgoing call, and smart sensors mean the headset answers when you put it on, pauses music when you take it off and warns you when you talk while muted. Compatibility — check before buying:
Three things to get right on this family. First, the BT700 adapter is USB-C. A small passive USB-C to USB-A adapter is supplied for older machines, and it is the piece people lose — there is no wired audio fallback on the Voyager Focus 2, so without the adapter or a USB-C port the headset has no reliable link to the PC. Second, this code does not include the charging stand; the stand-less UC version is 9T9J3AA, the UC version with the stand is 9T9J5AA and the Microsoft Teams version with the stand is 9T9J6AA. The feed name is identical on all three, so the number is the only way to tell them apart. Third, this is the UC build, certified for Zoom and Google Meet; if Teams certification is an IT requirement, take 9T9J6AA instead.

How do I tell the three Voyager Focus 2 codes apart?
By the last part of the number, because the product name is the same on all three. 9T9J3AA is the UC build with no charging stand, 9T9J5AA is the UC build with the stand, and 9T9J6AA is the Microsoft Teams certified build with the stand. Tell us your platform and whether you want a desk stand and we will confirm which one to order.
Can I plug it in and use it as a wired headset?
No. The USB-C cable on the Voyager Focus 2 charges the headset and nothing else — there is no wired audio mode. The link to the computer is the BT700 adapter, or the computer’s own Bluetooth. That is why the small USB-A adapter in the box matters: lose it on a USB-A machine and you lose the adapter path.
What does the ANC actually do on a call?
It quietens the room in your own ears at three levels, high, low or off. Separately, Poly Acoustic Fence works on the microphone side to keep background voices out of what the other person hears. The two are different systems solving different halves of the same problem, and this headset has both.
Does it connect to a desk phone?
Not on its own. The Voyager Focus 2 in this form connects to a computer through the BT700 adapter and to a mobile over Bluetooth. Desk phone connectivity needs the Voyager Focus 2 Office base, which is a different product. Tell us the phone model and we will check what it needs.

The Voyager Focus 2 is one of the better office headsets available, and also one of the easiest to mis-order, because HP gives all three variants the same product name. The differences are real money: the charging stand is the gap between 9T9J3AA and 9T9J5AA, and Microsoft Teams certification is the gap between 9T9J5AA and 9T9J6AA. Everything else — drivers, ANC, battery, sensors, adapter — is identical. If your users are on Teams and IT insists on a certified device, the only code that satisfies that is 9T9J6AA. If they are on Zoom or Google Meet, the UC codes are certified for those platforms and cost less. The stand is worth having on a fixed desk and worth skipping for staff who travel. For desk phone use this is the wrong form of the product; see the DECT models in office and VoIP headsets, and headphones if the requirement is listening rather than calls.
