Thermaltake Smart BX3 Pro SE 850W — ATX 3.1 Bronze PSU with native 12V-2x6
850W ATX 3.180 PLUS Bronze12V-2x6 600W5-year warranty
The Thermaltake Smart BX3 Pro SE 850W (SPS-0850AH2NLB-3) is an Intel ATX 3.1 power supply rated at 850W continuous with 80 PLUS Bronze efficiency, aimed at gaming and workstation builds that use a current PCIe 5.x graphics card with a 12V-2x6 (12+4-pin) power connector.
It delivers its full 850W on a single +12V rail (70.8A) with DC-to-DC conversion for the 3.3V and 5V outputs, uses low-profile flat black cables and a 120mm fluid-dynamic-bearing fan, and carries the usual protection set: OCP, OVP, UVP, OPP, OTP and SCP. Efficiency is up to 85% at 230V.
Before you order: Input is 200–240V AC only, which suits Cyprus and EU mains. It is not a wide-range 100–240V unit, so it is not suitable for 110–120V mains.
What's in the Box
- Smart BX3 Pro SE 850W power supply
- AC power cord
- 4 mounting screws
- User manual
What It Means in Practice
- A single native 12V-2x6 cable powers an RTX 40/50-series or similar GPU directly, without the four-plug adapter.
- The 70.8A single rail means all +12V capacity is available to the GPU and CPU without rail-balancing.
- Flat cables are easier to route behind the motherboard tray in compact ATX cases.
- Thermaltake documents a Smart Zero Fan mode, so the fan only starts above a set temperature at light load.
What Will Not Work
- It will not run on 110–120V mains (input is 200–240V only).
- Modular cabling is not clearly published — plan the build assuming cables cannot be removed.
- With 3 PCIe 6+2 plus one 12V-2x6, it cannot feed two high-end GPUs.
- It is a standard ATX unit and will not fit SFX-only small-form-factor cases.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an adapter for an RTX 4070/4080/5070?
No. The 12V-2x6 cable connects directly to cards with a 12VHPWR or 12V-2x6 socket.
Is it fully modular?
Thermaltake does not clearly publish modularity for this model, so treat the cables as fixed when planning cable management.
Bronze vs Gold — does it matter?
Bronze wastes slightly more energy as heat at the same load. For a gaming PC used a few hours a day the cost difference is small; for 24/7 machines Gold or better pays back faster.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
A sensible value pick for a modern GPU build: native 12V-2x6, ATX 3.1 and a 5-year warranty at Bronze pricing. If you want quieter running and modular cables, step up to a Gold unit from our
PC power supplies range.
✓ Buy it if you are building or upgrading a gaming PC around a PCIe 5.x graphics card and want a straightforward ATX 3.1 unit.
✕ Skip it if you need modular cables, a small SFX unit or 110V support.
→ Also consider a fully modular 80 PLUS Gold 850W unit for quieter, tidier builds.
