The QNAP QuCPE-3032-C3558R-8G is a network virtualization premise equipment (uCPE) for branch offices and edge sites. Instead of a separate router, firewall and SD-WAN box, it runs these functions as virtual machines or containers on one appliance, using QNAP’s QNE network operating system with Virtualization Station, Container Station and Network Service Composer for service chaining. It has a quad-core Intel Atom C3558R processor with Intel QAT, 8 GB of DDR4 memory (up to 128 GB), two 10GbE SFP+ ports, eight 2.5GbE RJ45 ports and two M.2 NVMe slots. QuWAN SD-WAN and AMIZcloud zero-touch provisioning are supported. In practice it replaces a stack of branch-office boxes with one managed platform.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Plan the extras before ordering. The two 10GbE ports are SFP+ cages, so you need SFP+ modules or DAC cables; the M.2 NVMe slots are empty, so storage for virtual machines is bought separately.
