R-Go Compact Break — Wired Ergonomic Keyboard with Break Indicator, UK English, Black
LED break indicator285 mm compactWired USB-C330 g
The R-Go Compact Break (RGOCOUKWDBL) is the wired version of the keyboard that tells you when to stop. A small LED runs from green through orange to red as your working time builds up and returns to green after a proper pause — a traffic light in your line of sight rather than a notification you dismiss without reading. The keyboard around it is properly thought through too: a compact 285 mm body with no numeric pad, so the mouse comes back in front of your shoulder instead of sitting out at arm’s length, a flat 10 mm profile that keeps the wrists close to neutral, scissor keys with a light stroke, and multimedia shortcut keys. It weighs 330 g and connects with a 160 cm USB-C cable. In the box: keyboard, USB-C cable, USB-A converter and documentation.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Layout: UK English QWERTY has the tall Enter key, £ on Shift+3, and @ and " swapped compared with US layout. Letters and numbers are identical to US; if you need the US key shapes, ask us for the US International version. The cable ends in USB-C, and R-Go supplies a USB-A converter in the box, so it plugs into an older computer as well as a modern one — nothing extra to buy. There is no numeric keypad: that is what makes the keyboard 285 mm wide and brings the mouse closer. If you do heavy data entry, add a separate numeric pad on the left of the keyboard. Being wired, it does work in the BIOS and needs no batteries — the difference from the wireless Compact Break, which is Bluetooth and rechargeable. There is no backlight and no palm rest included. The LED works on the keyboard itself; the free R-Go Break software is optional and only needed to change the thresholds, and the LED can be switched off with Escape+Enter. R-Go lists Windows and macOS.
Best For
✓ People who forget to take breaks and feel it by the afternoon
✓ Shoulder and neck strain caused by reaching around a wide keyboard
✓ Desks where IT prefers wired over anything to charge or pair
✓ Workplaces running an RSI-prevention programme
✓ Small desks, reception counters and shared workstations
✓ Anyone who needs keyboard access before Windows loads
Key Features
A break coach built into the keyboard
Green, orange, red as your typing time builds, back to green after a pause — visible where you are already looking.
Compact for the shoulder
285 mm wide with no numeric pad, so the mouse sits in front of your shoulder rather than out to the side.
USB-C with the converter included
Plugs into a modern laptop directly and into an older desktop with the supplied USB-A converter — no adapter to order separately.
Flat and light
10 mm high and 330 g on a 160 cm cable: a low wrist angle and enough cable to reach a tower under the desk.

Singular Expert Insight
We suggest the wired Compact Break when the person needs the nudge to take breaks but IT wants nothing to charge or pair — and it is the one to buy if anyone ever has to get into the BIOS on that machine. Pair it with a compact mouse from our wireless mice to keep the whole reach short, and see the rest of our keyboards.
