The ICY BOX IB-HUB1717-U3 is a 17-port USB 3.2 Gen 1 hub for the cases where seven or ten ports are not enough: sixteen 5 Gbps USB-A ports plus one BC 1.2 charging port in a 26 cm aluminium bar, fed by a 96 W power supply. Think phone-testing labs, flash-drive duplication, classrooms syncing a tablet set, or a studio with a wall of controllers and dongles.
Compatibility — check before buying:
All 17 sockets are USB-A; there is no USB-C device port, no video and no laptop charging. The charging port is charge only at 7.5 W and does not pass data. RaidSonic’s datasheet lists the host connection as USB-A while its product page says USB-C — the box contains one USB cable, so check which end you need before you order and tell us your computer. Sixteen devices share a single 5 Gbps link to the computer; that is fine for phones, sticks and receivers, less so for sixteen SSDs.
