The ICY BOX IB-RD3621U3, part number IB-RD3621U3, is a 2-bay external RAID enclosure for 3.5-inch SATA drives with a USB 3.0 (UASP) connection, built to give a PC or Mac mirrored or combined storage from two disks. A hardware mode switch lets you select Single, RAID 0, RAID 1 or LARGE, so you can mirror two drives for resilience or combine them for capacity and speed, and it ships diskless so you choose your own drives. A 60 mm fan keeps both disks cool. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus. Unlike the JBOD-only ICY BOX IB-3640SU3, this RD model adds true RAID, including RAID 1 mirroring.
Before you order
Drives are not included — buy two 3.5-inch SATA HDDs or SSDs separately. RAID is set with a hardware mode switch and changing mode erases the disks. Note that RAID 1 mirroring protects against a drive failure, but is not a backup — keep a separate copy of important data. The enclosure is mains-powered and connects over USB 3.0.
