Rain Design mBar Pro — Portable Folding Laptop Stand, Silver
Raises 75 mm130 gFolds flatCarry sleeve included
The Rain Design mBar Pro is a portable folding laptop stand machined from a single piece of anodised aluminium that raises the back of a laptop by 75 mm (3"), for people who work from cafés, client sites and hot desks and want a better screen angle without carrying a full stand.
Folded it is 243 × 91 × 12.4 mm and weighs about 130 g, so it slides into a laptop sleeve next to the computer.
What's in the Box
- 1 × Rain Design mBar Pro stand (silver)
- 1 × carrying sleeve
What It Means in Practice
- The stand lifts the rear of the laptop to give a tilted keyboard and a slightly higher screen; for a true eye-level screen you need a taller stand and external keyboard.
- Lifting the base improves airflow under the laptop.
- It also holds a 9.7" iPad or 10.5"/12.5" iPad Pro in landscape, per Rain Design.
What Will Not Work
- It does not lift the screen to eye level — the lift is a fixed 75 mm.
- Height and angle are not adjustable.
- Rain Design does not publish a maximum load or a list of supported laptop sizes — very large, heavy gaming laptops are outside its intended use.
- It is not a cooling pad — no fans, no USB.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
The mBar Pro is the minimalist option: it gives you a better typing angle and airflow anywhere, and disappears into a sleeve. If you work at the same desk every day, a height-adjustable stand with an external keyboard does more for posture — see the options in our laptop accessories.
✓ Buy it if you travel with your laptop and want a light, tool-free lift in a matching aluminium finish.
✕ Skip it if you want the screen at eye level or need adjustable height and angle.
→ Also consider a height-adjustable folding stand plus a compact keyboard for the office desk.
