The Rain Design mStand tablet plus (10055) is a space-grey anodised aluminium desk stand that holds an iPad or any tablet up to 13" at an angle you set between 10° and 50°, in portrait or landscape. It suits reception desks, video calls, recipe and reading use, and anyone who wants the tablet off the desk at eye-friendly height.
The angle changes with a simple push or pull on the tablet — there are no knobs to loosen — and the hinge is hidden inside the clean aluminium body. A cable outlet lets the charging lead pass through the base so the tablet can stay powered while it sits on the stand.
Before you order: Rain Design states it fits all iPad models and most tablets of 13" and smaller, with or without an Apple Smart Cover, and with cases up to 12 mm thick. A very thick rugged case may exceed that limit.

What It Means in Practice
- Push the top of the tablet back or pull it forward to change the angle anywhere from 10° (almost flat, good for writing) to 50° (upright, good for video calls).
- It works in portrait for documents and reading or in landscape for video and calls.
- Route the charging cable through the cable outlet so the tablet stays charged on the desk.
- The acoustic base directs the tablet speaker sound forward towards you.
- At 386 g of solid aluminium it is stable enough for touch use without sliding.
What Will Not Work
- It will not hold cases thicker than 12 mm, such as some rugged cases with built-in handles.
- It is not a lockable or security stand — the tablet lifts straight off.
- It does not charge the tablet; it only routes your own cable.
- It is not designed for tablets larger than 13".
