The Ricoh GC 41 Black Print Cartridge (405761) is a genuine Ricoh black cartridge for the Ricoh SG 3100SNw, SG 3110DN, SG 3110DNw, SG 3110SFNw and SG 7100DN. Ricoh rates it at approximately 2,500 pages (ISO/IEC 24711).
It is aimed at offices that run a Ricoh GELJET printer for everyday colour documents and want the original cartridge with the published yield, rather than a refilled or remanufactured alternative.
Before you order: This is the standard GC 41 cartridge. Ricoh also sells a low-yield GC 41L version for the same family, and Ricoh does not list the SG 2100N for the standard GC 41 — SG 2100N owners should send us their model first. Note: the GC 41KL low-yield black (405765) is a smaller cartridge for the same printers.

What It Means in Practice
- The 2,500-page figure comes from a standard test with continuous printing of a mixed document set. Plain text documents usually go further; full-page colour, photos and many short print jobs use more ink.
- Because each colour is a separate cartridge, the printer will tell you which one is low and you replace only that one — keep a spare of the colour you use most.
- Keep the cartridge sealed in its pack until you install it, store it at room temperature, and install it promptly once opened so the ink does not dry at the nozzles.
- If you print a lot, compare with the higher-capacity version: the GC 41KL low-yield black (405765) is a smaller cartridge for the same printers.
- A low-ink warning is an early alert: you can usually keep printing for a while, so order the replacement when it appears instead of waiting for the cartridge to run completely empty.
- After installing, print the printer's print-quality or test page once to confirm every colour is printing cleanly before a long or important job.
- GELJET gel ink dries quickly on plain paper, which keeps double-sided office prints and highlighted text from smudging.
What Will Not Work
- Printers that use GC 21 or GC 31 cartridges — the shape and contacts are different, so it will not fit or will not be recognised.
- Ricoh models not on Ricoh's list for the standard GC 41, including the SG 2100N — send us the model and we will check.
- It will not fix faults that are not cartridge-related, such as paper feed, carriage or connection problems.
