Rittal DK Earth Rail Horizontal 450 mm, E-Cu 15 x 5 mm, 20 x M5 Connection Points, for VX IT and TS IT Enclosures

The Rittal 7113000 is a horizontal copper earth rail, 450 mm long with a 15 x 5 mm cross-section, that gives an IT or industrial enclosure a central potential equalisation point with 20 M5 connection points for bonding doors, side panels, mounting frames and installed equipment.

In a rack full of switches, patch panels and power distribution, every metal part should sit at the same potential. Instead of running separate earth wires from each component to a single stud, you mount this rail horizontally inside the enclosure and land every bonding conductor on it. That keeps wiring short and tidy, makes inspection easier, and gives one clear point to connect to the building earth.

• One common bonding bar for the whole enclosure instead of daisy-chained earth wires.
• Twenty M5 points is enough for doors, side panels, roof, 19-inch frame and a set of devices, with spare points left over.
• The two 25 mm² earth connections take the main conductor to the building earth.
• Supplied isolators allow insulated mounting where the rail must not touch the frame directly.

• Enclosures 600 mm wide or 600 mm deep — the rail needs a width or depth of 800 mm.
• Non-Rittal cabinets: Rittal only publishes compatibility with its own AX, VX, TS families.
• Earth conductors, cable lugs and bonding straps are not included — order them for the cross-sections your installation needs.
• It is not a replacement for the building protective earth; it is a collection point that must itself be connected by an electrician.
