The Rittal DK 7240.201 is a 19-inch socket strip with nine IEC 60320 C13 outlets and a C14 inlet, for powering servers, switches and other IT equipment with IEC power inlets inside a rack or enclosure. It is rated 250 V AC, 50 Hz, max. 10 A, and has an integral 5 × 20 mm miniature fuse (10 A).
The body is a natural anodised aluminium section with black polycarbonate socket inserts, 44 mm high and 482.6 mm long. It fits 19-inch mounting levels, enclosure frames and Rittal DK wall-mounted distributors on a 25 mm pitch pattern, with two mounting brackets supplied.
Before you order: the input is an IEC C14 inlet, so the strip is powered from a C13 outlet — typically a UPS or a PDU — through a C13-to-C14 cable. The outputs are C13, so connected devices need C14 plugs (standard IEC kettle-lead cords for IT gear). Maximum 10 A for the whole strip.

What It Means in Practice
- Feed nine devices from one UPS output: connect the strip to a UPS C13 socket and plug servers, switches and routers into it.
- 10 A total, about 2300 W at 230 V — plan the load per strip accordingly.
- Mounts horizontally in a 19-inch rack, on enclosure frames or in a DK wall distributor.
- The fuse protects the strip and cabling against overload.
What Will Not Work
- No Schuko sockets — devices with Schuko plugs (monitors, chargers) cannot be connected.
- It cannot plug into a wall socket directly without a Schuko-to-C13 cord; the C14 inlet needs a C13 source.
- No switch, surge protection, metering or remote management.
- Not for loads above 10 A in total.
