Rittal DK 7240.220 19" 1U Socket Strip, 7 × Schuko Type F, Two-Pole Illuminated Switch, 16 A, 2 m Cable Without Plug

The Rittal DK 7240.220 is a 19-inch 1U socket strip in an anodised aluminium duct with seven Schuko (Type F) sockets and an illuminated two-pole rocker switch, rated 16 A at 250 V — for server and network racks that run equipment with Schuko plugs.

It mounts with two swivelling brackets, so it can face front or upwards in the rack. The 2 m H05VV-F 3G1.5 cable ends in wire ferrules, without a plug.

• The illuminated two-pole rocker switch with safety bar turns all 7 sockets off at once and disconnects both live and neutral — handy for cutting the standby draw of a TV or PC setup overnight.
• The H05VV-F 3G1.5, wire-end ferrules, no plug cable has three 1.5 mm² cores including earth — the normal cross-section for a 16 A household lead, so it does not run warm at normal office loads.
• 16 A shared across seven sockets: plan the total of everything connected, not per socket.
• The two-pole switch has a safety bar against accidental switching.
• Schuko inside the rack means devices need Schuko power cords; UK-plug cords will not fit.

• Surge or lightning protection — this 19" socket strip has none. For a PC, NAS, TV or router choose a surge-protected strip or a UPS.
• Outdoor, bathroom or damp-room use — it is rated IP20, dry indoor rooms only.
• Plugging straight into a wall socket — there is no plug.
• IEC C13 power cords — use 7240.200 (12 × C13) for those.
• UK (BS 1363) plugs.
