Safescan LD-4141 Cash Drawer for Retail and Hospitality
4 notes / 8 coinsRJ12 kick-out3-position lockSteel, black
The Safescan LD-4141 is a full-size light-duty cash drawer with 4 note and 8 coin compartments for shops, restaurants and bars. It connects to the receipt printer with the included RJ12 cable and opens automatically when the POS completes a sale.
It has a steel casing, a shatterproof PVC tray with metal note hold-downs, a media slot for coupons and card slips and a separate slot for large notes and value papers, and it is tested by Safescan for 500,000 opening cycles.
Before you order: The drawer opens from the receipt printer’s drawer-kick output. Safescan’s product sheet gives 12–24 V for this model, while its store also sells separate 12 V and 24 V versions — tell us your printer model and we will confirm the match before you order.
What's in the Box
- 1 × Safescan LD-4141 cash drawer, black
- RJ12 connection cable
- Key set
What It Means in Practice
- Standard 41 cm width suits most POS counters: 410 × 415 × 115 mm, 5.5 kg.
- Opens automatically with each receipt, or manually with the key.
- 3-position lock: locked, stand-by (electric opening only) and open.
- Optional extras from Safescan: 4141CC removable coin cups (132-0497) and 4141B under-counter mounting brackets — not included.
What Will Not Work
- It will not open from a printer without a compatible drawer-kick port.
- It does not connect to a PC by USB.
- Removable coin cups and under-counter brackets are not in the box.
- It is not a heavy-duty or POS safe model — Safescan’s SD/HD lines are sturdier.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
The LD-4141 is the sensible default for a standard 41 cm counter; step down to the LD-3336 only when space is tight. If you are setting up a new till, see our POS receipt printers and we will match printer, drawer and cable.
✓ Buy it if you need a standard-size drawer with 4 note slots that opens from the receipt printer.
✕ Skip it if your counter is very small or you need a heavy-duty or safe-grade drawer.
→ Also consider Safescan LD-3336 for compact counters with 3 note slots.
Not sure it works with your printer? Send us the printer model and we will check the kick port and voltage before you order.
