Samsung 32 GB DDR5-4800 UDIMM — the desktop module
32 GBDDR5-4800 · CL40UDIMM — desktop1.1 V · 2Rx8
The M323R4GA3BB0-CQK is a genuine Samsung Semiconductor memory module: 32 GB of DDR5-4800 in the 288-pin UDIMM form factor used by desktop motherboards. It is a 2Rx8 dual-rank module built from sixteen 16 Gb B-die devices, running at 1.1 V with timings of 40-39-39. Samsung lists it as in mass production.
Compatibility — check before buying:
???? Three checks before ordering — memory is the component most often bought in the wrong shape.
1. UDIMM, not SODIMM. This is the full-size desktop module. It will not fit a laptop or a mini-PC. For those, the equivalent part is M425R4GA3BB0-CQK — see below.
2. DDR5, not DDR4. DDR4 and DDR5 desktop DIMMs are both 288-pin and look almost identical, but they are keyed differently and are not interchangeable. This is the single easiest mistake to make when upgrading. Check your motherboard’s specification.
3. Unbuffered, not registered. This is a normal desktop module. It will not work in a server board that requires registered (RDIMM) memory — and conversely, a server RDIMM will not work in your desktop.
⭐ The desktop UDIMM and the laptop SODIMM are the same module in two shapes. Samsung sells M323R4GA3BB0-CQK (this one, UDIMM, 288-pin, desktop) and M425R4GA3BB0-CQK (SODIMM, 262-pin, laptop). Both are 32 GB, 2Rx8, sixteen 2G×8 devices on 16 Gb B-die, DDR5-4800, CL40, 1.1 V, non-ECC, in mass production. The shared “R4GA3BB0-CQK” body is exactly what encodes that sameness — only the form factor differs.
???? On-die ECC is NOT the same as ECC memory. Every DDR5 module ever made has on-die ECC, which corrects single-bit faults inside the DRAM array and reports nothing to the operating system. It is a manufacturing necessity at DDR5 densities, not a reliability feature you can act on. Real ECC memory has extra DRAM chips, a wider bus, and tells the system when it corrects an error. This module is non-ECC. Any listing describing a consumer DDR5 module as “ECC” is conflating the two.
⚠️ Populating all four slots usually costs you speed. DDR5 desktop platforms commonly reduce their supported memory speed when four modules are fitted rather than two. If you want 64 GB, two 32 GB modules will generally run faster than four 16 GB ones — which is a good argument for this capacity.
⚠️ It is a 4800-grade module. On a board that supports DDR5-5600 or faster it will run at 4800. It works, but does not reach the board’s top speed.
⚠️ OEM component part. Bare green PCB, bulk or tray packaging, no retail box, no heatspreader, no XMP or EXPO profile. And Samsung publishes no warranty term for its DRAM modules at all. Cover here is Singular’s 1-year warranty.

Best For
✓ A desktop build or upgrade that needs a lot of memory per slot
✓ Virtual machines, large datasets, video editing and heavy multitasking
✓ Reaching 64 GB with two modules rather than four — usually the faster way
✓ Anyone who wants genuine Samsung silicon rather than a rebadged module
Key Features
32 GB in a single slot
Two of these gives 64 GB while leaving two slots empty — which on most DDR5 desktop platforms runs faster than filling all four with smaller modules.
DDR5-4800 with published timings
40-39-39 at 4800, for 38.4 GB/s of peak bandwidth — roughly 50 % more than DDR4-3200.
Genuine Samsung Semiconductor B-die
Sixteen 2G×8 devices on Samsung’s own 16 Gb B-die. Samsung makes the chips as well as the module.
2Rx8 dual rank at 1.1 V
Dual-rank interleaving gives a small free performance gain over single rank, and DDR5’s 1.1 V operation draws less power than DDR4’s 1.2 V at much higher bandwidth.
⚠️ JEDEC only — no XMP, no EXPO, no heatspreader
A plain specification-compliant module. If you want tuned enthusiast memory with a profile and a heatsink, that is a different product.

Singular Expert Insight
A plain, genuine Samsung desktop module, and the decision is mostly about shape and slot strategy rather than specification. On shape: it must be a DDR5 board (DDR4 and DDR5 DIMMs are both 288-pin and look identical — check the specification, not the module), and it must be a normal desktop board rather than a server board needing registered memory. On strategy: 32 GB per module is the right capacity precisely because DDR5 platforms slow down when all four slots are filled. Two of these gives you 64 GB at full speed with two slots still free, where four 16 GB modules would give the same capacity more slowly. That is the single most useful thing to know when planning a DDR5 build. Note also that this part and the laptop M425R4GA3BB0-CQK are the same module in two shapes, right down to the shared part-number body. Two expectations to set: it is a bare OEM part with no XMP or EXPO profile and no heatspreader, because it is a JEDEC-specification module rather than an enthusiast one; and Samsung publishes no warranty term for DRAM at all, so the cover is ours. Browse our internal SSD range or our PC monitors.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You are building or upgrading a DDR5 desktop and want 32 GB per module, so 64 GB takes two slots rather than four.
Skip it if
Your machine is a laptop or mini-PC (buy M425R4GA3BB0-CQK), your board takes DDR4, or it is a server board requiring registered memory.
Also consider
A second identical module for dual channel, and an internal SSD if the build needs storage too.
