Samsung EF-RS936 Rugged Case — drop tested to MIL-STD-810H, for the Galaxy S25+
MIL-STD-810H drop tested1.2 m onto steelGalaxy S25+42 g
The Samsung EF-RS936 is Samsung’s Rugged Case for the Galaxy S25+, and the only case in the S25+ range that carries a published drop test: Samsung states it is tested against MIL-STD-810H Transit Drop standards, from a height of 1.2 metres onto a steel surface. It has raised edges, a grooved surface pattern for grip and transparent side accents, and measures 82 × 164.6 × 11.5 mm at 42 g — the heaviest case Samsung makes for this phone, which is the trade you are making. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Cut for the Galaxy S25+ (SM-S936B) only — not the plain S25 (SM-S931) and not the Ultra (SM-S938), which are 11 mm and 4 mm different in height respectively and have their own part numbers. Two things to be precise about. First, the drop claim: Samsung’s wording is MIL-STD-810H Transit Drop, from 1.2 m onto steel, with the caveat that performance varies with actual usage. It is not “military grade” in general, it is not MIL-STD-810G, and it is not a 2-metre rating. Second, this case has no kickstand, no strap loop and no grip ring, and there is no IP rating — a rugged case protects against impact, not water. It is also not magnetic: Samsung’s magnetic cases for the S25 family are separate GP- part numbers.
Key Features
A published drop test, which is rare on a first-party case
Samsung publishes no protection rating at all for its clear, silicone or wallet cases. For this one it does: MIL-STD-810H Transit Drop, 1.2 m onto steel. Steel is a harder landing surface than the concrete or wood most drops actually happen onto, so the test is a meaningful one — and it is a checkable claim rather than marketing language.
Built for grip, not for slimness
Raised edges stand proud of the screen and camera array, the back carries a grooved pattern that gives the fingers something to hold, and Samsung adds transparent side accents so the phone’s frame still shows at the edges. At 42 g and 11.5 mm across the outline this is a case you can feel in the hand — which is rather the point.
No gadgets bolted on
It is a protective shell and nothing more: no kickstand, no strap loop, no ring, no card slot. If you want the phone to prop itself up or take a lanyard, this is not the case for that. What you get instead is the only S25+ case Samsung will put a drop standard behind.

Singular Expert Insight
This is the case to buy if the phone matters more than the profile. Samsung publishes nothing about the protection of its other S25+ cases — no ratings at all on the clear or wallet versions — so the MIL-STD-810H Transit Drop figure here is the genuine differentiator rather than a slogan. The costs are honest: 11.5 mm across the outline and 42 g on a phone that is already 190 g. What it is not is waterproof, magnetic, or a case with a stand. And unlike the A56 version, Samsung publishes no material or bio-based content for it, so if that detail matters to you it is worth knowing it is simply absent. Browse our mobile phone cases for other options, or the mobile phones range if the handset itself is still undecided.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
The phone gets dropped, or lives on sites, in kitchens or in a bag with keys. This is the only S25+ case with a drop test Samsung will put in writing.
Skip it if
You want a slim phone in the pocket — 11.5 mm and 42 g is the opposite — or you use magnetic mounts and Qi2, which this case does not support.
Also consider
Samsung’s Clear Case EF-QS936CT at 18 g if slimness matters more than impact protection, or a GP- magnet case if you use Qi2 accessories.
