Samsung PRO Plus 1 TB — with the sd adapter

1 TB180 / 130 MB/sA2 · V30 · U3SD Adapter included

The MB-MD1T0SA/EU is Samsung’s PRO Plus microSDXC at 1 TB, supplied with a full-size SD adapter. It reads at up to 180 MB/s and writes at up to 130 MB/s, and carries A2, V30, U3 and Class 10 ratings — rated for app performance and for sustained 4K video. Samsung warrants the card for 10 years.

Compatibility — check before buying:
ℹ️ This part number is the SD-adapter bundle. Samsung sells the same 1 TB PRO Plus card in two bundles: the A part number with a full-size SD adapter (this one), and the B part number with a USB card reader instead. Samsung publishes no definition of the codes anywhere — the pattern is established by its own storefront titles across the whole line. The SD adapter is what you want for a camera or a laptop card slot.

???? The 1 TB card has REDUCED durability ratings, and almost every listing copies the wrong ones — including Samsung’s own product pages.

Samsung’s datasheet carries footnotes that apply only to the 1 TB capacity:
• Water: 24 hours at 1 m in 3 % salt water — not the 72 hours quoted line-wide.
• Drop: 1.5 metres, 10 cycles — not the 5 metres quoted line-wide.
Magnet, X-ray, wear-out and temperature ratings are unchanged.

⚠️ Samsung’s UK, German and Belgian product pages all print the line-level 72 hours and 5 metres on the 1 TB page and omit the footnote. The datasheet is the more specific source and we follow it. If you see 72 hours or 5 metres on a 1 TB PRO Plus listing anywhere — including on Samsung’s own site — it is the line figure, not this card’s.

⚠️ Samsung is retiring this entire line. Per Samsung’s German newsroom, the T7 and T9 microSD lines launched on 30 April 2026 and replace EVO Plus, PRO Plus and PRO Ultimate. Both Samsung UK and Samsung Germany now show this card as no longer available. That does not make it a worse buy — it still carries a 10-year warranty that the replacement T7 line does not (the T7 has three years). But stock is finite.

⚠️ It is UHS-I, not UHS-II. Samsung publishes “UHS-I SDR104” (up to 104 MB/s) with a DDR200 mode reaching up to 200 MB/s only with a Samsung microSD reader. In an ordinary camera or phone you get the SDR104 rate.

⚠️ The 10-year warranty excludes write-intensive use. Samsung explicitly excludes security cameras, surveillance systems, dashboard cameras, network cameras, continuous-recording set-top boxes and data loggers. For those, buy a PRO Endurance card — this one is not designed for looped recording.

ℹ️ 4K yes, 8K not claimed. Samsung states 4K UHD video support at 1 TB, 512 GB, 256 GB and 128 GB. It makes no 8K claim for the PRO Plus line and neither do we — 8K is a PRO Ultimate and T9 claim.

Best For

✓ A phone or tablet that takes microSD — the A2 rating matters for apps
✓ 4K video on an action camera or drone
✓ A handheld console games library
✓ Anyone who wants 1 TB with a genuine 10-year warranty

Key Features

1 TB with A2 application performance
A2 is the rating that matters if apps will run from the card rather than just store files. Samsung publishes the A2 minimums: 4,000 random read IOPS and 2,000 random write IOPS.

180 MB/s read, 130 MB/s write
The PRO Plus line’s figures — faster than EVO Plus, and comfortably above what V30 requires for sustained 4K recording.

A 10-year limited warranty
Rare at this capacity, and one thing the newer T7 line does not match — it carries three years. Note the exclusion for surveillance and dashcam use.

Serious environmental ratings
Survives a high-field MRI-equivalent magnetic field (up to 15,000 gauss for 30 seconds), airport X-ray machines (up to 100 mGy for 210 seconds), and up to 10,000 insertion cycles. Operating range −25 °C to 85 °C.

⭐ SD Adapter in the box
This part number is the sd adapter bundle. ⚠️ Note that Samsung limits the adapter’s own warranty to 1 year, against the card’s 10.

⚠️ Suffix Note Samsung publishes no definition of its microSD suffixes. Across its own storefront titles, A parts ship an SD adapter and B parts ship a USB card reader — that is an observed pattern, not a Samsung rule. Likewise /EU and /WW are simply the codes different Samsung storefronts carry.
Status ???? End of life. Samsung UK shows “No longer available” and Samsung Germany “nicht verkäuflich”. Replaced by the T7 and T9 lines from 30 April 2026.

Recording Samsung states 4K UHD video support at 1 TB, 512 GB, 256 GB and 128 GB. ⚠️ No 8K claim is made for the PRO Plus line.
Durability — 1 TB figures
???? Water 1 m depth, 3 % salt water, 24 hours. The 72-hour figure printed on Samsung’s own product pages is the line-level number and applies to 128–512 GB, not to this card. Samsung’s datasheet footnote is explicit.
???? Drop Up to 1.5 m (4.9 ft), 10 cycles. The 5-metre figure is likewise the line-level number, not this card’s.
Magnet Magnetic field equivalent to a high-field MRI scanner — up to 15,000 gauss for 30 seconds
X-Ray Withstands standard airport X-ray machines — up to 100 mGy for 210 seconds
Wear-Out Up to 10,000 swipes
Temperature Operating −25 °C to 85 °C · non-operating −40 °C to 85 °C

Warranty & Box
Warranty 1-Year Warranty (Singular)
Samsung Term 10-year limited warranty on the card. ⚠️ Samsung excludes continuous-recording use: security cameras, surveillance systems, dashcams, network cameras, continuous-recording set-top boxes and data loggers. The SD adapter is limited to 1 year. Singular’s direct warranty is 1 year.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it really rated to survive a 5 metre drop and 72 hours in water?
Not at 1 TB. Samsung’s datasheet publishes reduced figures for the 1 TB capacity specifically: 1.5 metres and 24 hours. The 5 m and 72 h figures are the line-level numbers for 128–512 GB. Note that Samsung’s own product pages print the line figures on the 1 TB page and leave the footnote off — we follow the datasheet, which is the more specific source.
What comes in the box?
The card and a full-size SD adapter. Across Samsung’s own storefront titles, the A part number is the SD-adapter bundle and the B part number ships a USB card reader instead. Samsung publishes no formal definition of the codes, but the pattern holds across the whole line.
Can I use it in a dashcam or security camera?
You can, but Samsung’s 10-year warranty explicitly excludes security cameras, surveillance systems, dashcams and other continuous-recording devices. Looped recording wears a standard card far faster than normal use. For that, buy a PRO Endurance card, which is built for it.
What does the A2 rating actually give me?
Faster small random reads and writes, which is what matters when apps run from the card rather than just storing photos. Samsung publishes the A2 minimums of 4,000 random read and 2,000 random write IOPS. If the card is only for video or photos, the V30 rating matters more.
Will I get 200 MB/s?
Only with a Samsung microSD reader. Samsung publishes a DDR200 mode reaching up to 200 MB/s, but it needs a reader that supports it — in an ordinary phone or camera slot you get the SDR104 rate of up to 104 MB/s. The card’s own rated figure is 180 MB/s read.
Is this line being discontinued?
Yes. Samsung launched the T7 and T9 microSD lines on 30 April 2026 to replace EVO Plus, PRO Plus and PRO Ultimate, and both Samsung UK and Samsung Germany now show this card as no longer available. Worth knowing that the replacement T7 carries a 3-year warranty, not this card’s 10 — so buying the outgoing line is not necessarily the worse deal.
Singular Expert Insight
Two things about this card get misreported almost everywhere, and one of them is misreported by Samsung itself. The first is durability: at 1 TB, Samsung’s datasheet publishes 1.5 metres and 24 hours, not the 5 metres and 72 hours its product pages print. Those headline figures belong to the smaller capacities. We publish the datasheet numbers because they are the ones written specifically for this card. The second is the bundle — the A and B part numbers of the same card ship different accessories, an SD adapter and a USB reader respectively, and Samsung never states the rule anywhere. This part number is the sd adapter one. What you are actually buying is a fast, well-rated 1 TB card — 180 / 130 MB/s, A2, V30, UHS-I — with a 10-year warranty that its own replacement line no longer offers, since the new T7 carries three. That is a real reason to buy the outgoing generation while it lasts. Just keep it away from dashcams and CCTV, which the warranty excludes. Browse our memory card range or our card readers.

Buyer’s Guide

Buy it if

You want 1 TB of fast, A2-rated storage for a phone, console, drone or camera, with a 10-year warranty behind it and the sd adapter included.

Skip it if

It is for a dashcam or security camera (the warranty excludes that — buy PRO Endurance), or you need the other bundle — check which accessory you actually want before ordering.

Also consider

A USB card reader if your laptop has no SD slot — and note the Samsung reader is what unlocks the 200 MB/s DDR200 mode. A PRO Endurance card if you also need one for a dashcam.
