Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 — 8.7-inch, 90 Hz, Wi-Fi
8.7″ at 90 HzWi-Fi, 8 GB / 128 GB5,100 mAh3.5 mm jack
The SM-X130NZSEEUE is Samsung’s Galaxy Tab A11 in the 8.7-inch size, the Wi-Fi version in the 8 GB / 128 GB configuration, in grey with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. The display is 1340 × 800 TFT running at 90 Hz, there is a 5,100 mAh battery, dual speakers, a microSD slot taking up to 2 TB and — increasingly rare — a proper 3.5 mm headphone socket. Samsung publishes security maintenance running to 30 September 2032. Note this is the upper memory tier: 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, twice the base configuration on both counts.
Compatibility — check before buying:
⭐ Read the part number: this is the 8 GB / 128 GB tier. The
What the upper tier changes: RAM doubles from 4 GB to 8 GB and storage from 64 GB to 128 GB (about 108.5 GB available). Nothing else does — weight, battery, processor, display, cameras and charging are identical to the base configuration. On a tablet with only 4 GB in its cheapest form, doubling the RAM is the single most worthwhile upgrade available here.
Wi-Fi or LTE? The published differences are exactly four: the cellular modem and bands, a single nano-SIM slot shared with the microSD, a proximity sensor, and 2 g of weight. On this Wi-Fi model the microSD slot is dedicated, which is a small but genuine advantage over the LTE version.
Set expectations on the screen. This is a TFT panel at 1340 × 800, not an AMOLED and not a high-resolution one. On an 8.7-inch tablet that is perfectly readable for video, browsing and children’s use, but it is not in the same class as the Tab S range and we would rather say so than let the 90 Hz refresh imply otherwise.
Three absences worth knowing. There is no NFC. There is no fingerprint sensor and no face recognition in Samsung’s published sensor list. And the S Pen is not supported — it is absent from every Samsung page for this tablet, and the A series has never taken one.
⚠️ Samsung does not publish the chipset (only “Octa-Core, 2.2 GHz + 2 GHz”), the charging wattage, the build material, or an OS-upgrade count — it publishes a security-update date and never a number of Android versions. We do not fill those gaps.
ZSE in SM-X130NZSEEUE encodes both the colour and the memory configuration — Z + S for silver + E for the upper tier. The base ZSA version is silver at 4 GB / 64 GB. It is an easy mis-order, and several retailers list ZSE parts as plain “Silver 64 GB”.What the upper tier changes: RAM doubles from 4 GB to 8 GB and storage from 64 GB to 128 GB (about 108.5 GB available). Best For
✓ Video, browsing and reading on the sofa
✓ A first tablet for a child — the 3.5 mm jack helps here
✓ A second screen for the kitchen or a workbench
✓ Anyone who wants a small, light tablet rather than a laptop replacement
Key Features
8.7 inches at 90 Hz
Small enough to hold one-handed for a long time, and the 90 Hz refresh makes scrolling noticeably smoother than the 60 Hz panels usually fitted at this price. The resolution is modest at 1340 × 800, which at this screen size is acceptable rather than impressive.
A headphone socket — genuinely useful here
A 3.5 mm stereo jack, which almost no phone still has. On a tablet handed to a child, or used with wired headphones in a car, that matters more than any specification.
Dual speakers, Dolby-engineered
Samsung publishes dual speakers at 1 W total and describes them as “Dolby-engineered”. Note it does not say Dolby Atmos, despite what many listings claim — we quote what Samsung publishes.
microSD up to 2 TB
64 GB of internal storage is not much, but the card slot takes up to 2 TB, so a library of films or games is a cheap card away. On the LTE model the slot is shared with the SIM.
Security updates to September 2032
Samsung publishes a security-maintenance date rather than a number of Android versions for this tablet. Either way, a budget tablet supported into 2032 is a long life.

Singular Expert Insight
If you are buying a Tab A11 at all, this is the configuration we would point you at. The tablet is expected to receive security updates into 2032, and 4 GB of RAM is thin for a device you intend to keep that long — doubling it to 8 GB is the one change that affects how the tablet feels rather than simply how much it stores. The 128 GB is a bonus; the microSD slot on the Wi-Fi model is dedicated, so storage was never the hard limit. Everything else about the tablet is unchanged and worth knowing: a TFT rather than AMOLED panel at a modest resolution, no fingerprint unlock, no NFC and no S Pen support, but a genuinely useful 3.5 mm headphone socket and a light 335 g body. Just make sure you order the
ZSE part — the memory tier is hidden in the part number rather than the name. Browse our tablets and iPad range, or tablet accessories for a cover to go with it.Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want a small, light tablet you will keep for years, and you would rather have 8 GB of RAM than save on the base model.
Skip it if
You need mobile data (take the LTE model), or you only want a cheap second screen and 4 GB will do.
Also consider
The base 4 GB / 64 GB version if the budget is tighter, the LTE model (SM-X135F) if you need mobile data, or the Samsung Book Cover EF-BX130P.
