Samsung rates it at 200 MB/s sequential read and 130 MB/s write, with the Class 10 / U3 / V30 / A2 marks that matter for video recording and for running apps directly from the card. The SA in the part number means an SD adapter is in the box, so the same card also drops into a camera or a laptop SD slot. The otherwise identical SB version swaps that adapter for a USB card reader — worth checking which one you are looking at, because the accessory is the whole price difference. Compatibility — check before buying:
The rated read speed needs the right reader. Samsung reaches 200 MB/s over UHS-I DDR200, a Samsung extension to the UHS-I bus rather than a standard mode — its own footnote says the figure is achieved “using Samsung readers”. In an ordinary phone, camera, laptop or card reader slot the bus tops out at the standard UHS-I SDR104 rate of about 104 MB/s, and that is what you will see. The card is fully compatible either way; only the headline number changes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I really get 200 MB/s?
Only through a reader that supports Samsung’s DDR200 mode. In a phone, camera or standard laptop slot you will see roughly 104 MB/s, the ceiling of the standard UHS-I bus. That is the bus, not a fault with the card.
What is the difference between the SA and SB versions?
Box contents only. SA ships with an SD adapter; SB ships with a USB card reader. The card itself is identical. If your laptop has no SD slot, the SB is the more useful bundle — and it is also the version that unlocks the full 200 MB/s.
How does it compare with PRO Plus?
PRO Plus reads at 180 MB/s against this card’s 200, and is rated to 1 m of water rather than 2 m. Write speed, speed classes and the 10-year warranty are the same. If the price gap is small the PRO Ultimate is worth it; if not, PRO Plus loses very little.
Can I use it in a dashcam or CCTV camera?
It will work, but Samsung’s warranty explicitly excludes dashcam, CCTV, surveillance and other continuous-recording use. Those rewrite the same blocks all day and need a PRO Endurance card, which is built and warranted for exactly that.
How long will the card last?
Samsung publishes no endurance or terabytes-written figure for this line, so we will not invent one. The 10,000 figure in the specifications is insertion cycles — how many times it can be plugged in and out.

Worth knowing when you compare this against newer stock: Samsung renamed its microSD range in 2026, with the T9 line replacing PRO Ultimate and T7 replacing the mid-range. The specifications carried across nearly unchanged — T9 is also 200/130 MB/s — but the new T-series ships with a 3-year manufacturer warranty against PRO Ultimate’s 10. So the older badge is not the weaker buy here; on warranty it is clearly the stronger one, at the same speed. Choose on the reader you own and the warranty term, not on which name sounds newer.
