SanDisk Extreme PRO Flash Drive with USB-C — 1TB

1TB1000MB/s read900MB/s writeUSB-C 10Gbps

The SanDisk Extreme PRO Flash Drive with USB-C, part number SDCZ890-1T00-G46, is a 1TB metal flash drive that reads at up to 1000MB/s and writes at up to 900MB/s over USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps). That is SSD-class speed in a stick: a 10GB video folder copies in well under a minute on a fast port. SanDisk includes Memory Zone for file management and RescuePRO Deluxe data recovery software. In practice it is for photographers, video editors and anyone moving big project files between USB-C laptops, desktops and phones.

Compatibility — check before buying:
USB-C only — for USB-A computers you need an adapter, not included, or the separate USB-A version. The rated speeds need a USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) port; on 5Gbps or USB 2.0 ports it runs slower. SanDisk lists Android 10+ in its datasheet and Android 8+ on its product page. Tell us your laptop or phone and we confirm the port speed.

Best For

✓ Video and photo editing
✓ Moving large project files
✓ USB-C laptops and MacBooks
✓ Android phones with USB-C

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it work on a USB-A port?
Not directly. It has a USB-C connector only. Use a USB-C to USB-A adapter, which runs at the adapter’s speed, or ask us for the USB-A Extreme PRO.
Will I get 1000MB/s on my laptop?
Only on a USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) USB-C port or faster. On 5Gbps or USB 2.0 ports it runs noticeably slower.
Can I use it with my phone?
Yes, with USB-C Android phones and USB-C iPhones for file transfer. SanDisk’s Memory Zone app helps on Android.
What warranty does it have?
SanDisk publishes a lifetime limited warranty. Singular’s own warranty is 1 year, and we help you with SanDisk’s process after that.
Singular Expert Insight
We suggest the SDCZ890-1T00-G46 when you want portable-SSD speed without a cable: on a 10Gbps USB-C port it is quick enough to edit from. On older ports, a standard flash drive costs less for the same real speed. See more USB flash drives or external SSDs.
