The 2 TB Optimus GX 7100M adds fast internal storage for compatible handheld gaming consoles and compact laptops. Its 30 mm M.2 2230 board fits devices that cannot take an 80 mm 2280 drive. It combines PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe 2.0, TLC NAND and nCache 4.0, with manufacturer sequential maxima of 7250 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Confirm a PCIe NVMe M.2 2230 slot, the supported drive capacity and 2.38 mm board-height clearance. A SATA-only M.2 slot is not suitable. Peak speeds require a suitable host; older compatible PCIe links reduce available bandwidth.
