The SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive Go is a 1TB flash drive with a full-size USB-C connector at one end and a full-size USB-A connector at the other. One stick therefore covers a phone, a current laptop and an older desktop with no adapter in between. SanDisk publishes up to 400 MB/s read at this capacity over USB 3.2 Gen 1. Part number SDDDC3-1T00-G46AG is the Absinthe Green colour. The body swivels to expose one connector and hide the other, which is why there is no cap to lose, and a moulded loop takes a keyring.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Check these before you order. Both connectors are full size — USB-C and USB-A. This is not the micro-USB version: SanDisk still sells an Ultra Dual Drive m3.0 whose small end is micro-USB, and that one fits no phone sold today. For phone use the phone must support USB host mode (OTG) — recent Android phones do, and so do iPhone 15 and later. An iPhone 14 or earlier has a Lightning port and cannot use this drive at all. A thick or recessed case can stop the swivel body reaching the bottom of a phone’s USB-C port. And the 400 MB/s figure needs a USB 3.2 port at the other end — plugged into USB 2.0 the same drive runs at roughly a tenth of that speed. The choice that does change something is body material: the Dual Drive Luxe runs at the same 400 MB/s in a metal shell and weighs 12.2 g against 3.5 g here — heavier on a keyring, and more leverage on a phone’s USB-C port if you leave it plugged in. The other honest comparison is against a single-connector drive: if every machine you own has the same port, you are paying for a second connector you will not use, and a plain single-ended Ultra costs less. Where any flash drive stops being the right answer is continuous work — editing video or running a project library directly off the stick. Sustained writing is where flash drives of every brand fall away, and a small portable SSD is the tool for that job.
