Schwaiger KVB29 531 Coax Cable Joiner — Ø 4–7.5 mm, Silver
Coax joinerScrew terminalsCable Ø 4–7.5 mmNo soldering
The Schwaiger KVB29 531 is an inline coax cable joiner with screw-on inner-conductor terminals, for connecting two coaxial cables with an outer diameter of 4 to 7.5 mm end to end — to repair a cut antenna cable or to extend an existing run without fitting new connectors.
You strip both cable ends, clamp the inner conductors under the screw terminals and close the metal/plastic housing over the shields. It is a quick fix for terrestrial TV, radio and satellite coax inside a building, where replacing the whole cable would mean pulling it through walls again.
Before you order: Check your cable before ordering: the outer diameter must be between 4 and 7.5 mm and the inner conductor between 0.5 and 1.1 mm.
What's in the Box
- 1 × Schwaiger coax cable joiner (blister pack)
What It Means in Practice
- No soldering and no special crimp tool — a small screwdriver and a cable stripper are enough.
- Fits the common 75 Ω antenna cables used for TV and satellite in homes.
- Each joint adds a small signal loss; one joint in a run is normally not noticeable, several in series can be.
- Use indoors or in a dry, protected location.
What Will Not Work
- It is not a connector to plug into a TV or receiver — it only joins two cables to each other.
- It does not fit thin coax below 4 mm or thick trunk cables above 7.5 mm.
- It is not a splitter: it connects one cable to one cable, not to two outputs.
- It is not weatherproof — outdoors the joint must be sealed or placed in a junction box.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use it to extend my satellite cable?
Yes, if the cable is 4–7.5 mm thick. For best results, keep the number of joints in a satellite line to a minimum.
Do I need to solder?
No. The inner conductors are clamped with screws and the housing closes over the shield.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
A screw joiner is the practical repair when a coax run is cut or a few metres short and re-pulling cable is not an option. If instead you need to feed one antenna signal to two TVs, you need a splitter, not a joiner — and for HDMI distribution see our
video splitters.
✓ Buy it if you need to repair or extend a TV, radio or satellite coax cable of 4–7.5 mm without soldering.
✕ Skip it if you need a plug for the TV, a splitter, an outdoor-sealed joint, or your cable is outside 4–7.5 mm.
→ Also consider F-connector couplers for cables already fitted with F plugs, or a new coax cable for long runs.
