The SKILLER SGP30 XXL is a full-desk mat: 900 x 400 mm at 2.5 mm thick, weighing 680 g, so keyboard, mouse and forearms all sit on the same surface. Sharkoon builds it from a textile top with sublimation printing over a non-slip rubber base, and finishes the border with what it calls DurableStitch sewing — a proper sewn edge rather than a cut one. The surface carries a water-repellent coating, and Sharkoon states the mat can simply be freed of dust and dirt under running water. Sharkoon specifies optimal sliding properties without labelling it a speed or a control mat. This one is the D3 design. Sharkoon publishes this one under its 2023 SGP30 XXL range, where the designs are numbered D1 to D6 rather than named — so this is the D3 pattern, not the Mesh one.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Measure the desk first: 900 mm wide by 400 mm deep covers most of a standard desktop and will overhang the front edge of a shallow one. At 2.5 mm it lies flat and gives no cushioning; there is no wrist rest and no lighting. On the surface, be careful what you read elsewhere: Sharkoon publishes optimal sliding properties for all sensor types and does not classify the SGP30 as speed or control, so we quote no friction rating. The water-repellent coating buys you time to wipe a spill away and lets you rinse dust off — Sharkoon publishes no machine-washing instruction, so do not put it in a machine. The design is printed by sublimation into the fabric rather than laid on top, so it does not wear off with the surface.
