Silicon Power Blaze B30 128GB: swivel-cap USB 3.2 stick with published speeds
128GBUSB 3.2 Gen 190 / 28 MB/s360° swivel
The Silicon Power Blaze B30 128GB (SP128GBUF3B30V1K) is a black USB 3.2 Gen 1 flash drive with up to 90 MB/s read and up to 28 MB/s write and a 360° swivel cap on a metal structure, for everyday users who want a decent-speed 128GB stick whose cap cannot get lost.
The cap rotates around the drive instead of coming off, and Silicon Power rates the swivel for more than 5,000 rotations and the connector for 10,000 insertions. The drive works on Windows, macOS and Linux and in older USB 2.0 ports at reduced speed.
What's in the Box
- 1 × Silicon Power Blaze B30 128GB USB flash drive

What It Means in Practice
- At up to 28 MB/s write, loading 50GB of photos takes roughly 30 to 40 minutes; reading them back at up to 90 MB/s is about three times faster.
- 128GB holds a large photo library, many hours of Full HD video or full project folders.
- Usable capacity shown in Windows or macOS is lower than the label: manufacturers count 1 GB as 1,000,000,000 bytes, operating systems count in binary units, and the file system takes a small share.
- Real-world speed depends on the port, the computer and the files: one large video copies much faster than thousands of small photos or documents.
- Always use Eject or Safely Remove before pulling the drive out; unplugging during a write is the most common cause of a corrupted stick.
What Will Not Work
- No encryption or password protection; use an encrypted drive for confidential data.
- It does not plug straight into USB-C-only laptops, tablets or phones; you need a USB-C to USB-A adapter (an OTG adapter for phones).
- It is not a backup on its own: flash drives get lost and can fail, so keep a second copy of anything important.
- It is not an external SSD; for large daily transfers or running applications from the drive, an external SSD is the right tool.
