Silicon Power CreatePro CR30M 128GB microSDXC — U3, V30, A2, with SD Adapter

160 / 120 MB/sUHS-I · U3 · V30 · A2128GB microSDXCSD adapter in the box

The Silicon Power CreatePro CR30M SP128GBSTXLA2V1CSP is a 128GB microSDXC card rated Class 10, UHS-I U3, Video Speed Class V30 and Application Performance Class A2, supplied with a full-size SD adapter. At this capacity Silicon Power publishes up to 160 MB/s read and 120 MB/s write, and the V30 mark guarantees a 30 MB/s minimum sustained write — the level 4K recording, action cameras and drones are specified against. It is built on 3D TLC NAND with dual ECC, and the A2 rating means it is also intended for hosts that run apps and games from the card rather than just storing files.

Compatibility — check before buying:
This card is microSDXC, so it uses exFAT and needs a host that supports SDXC — almost anything made in the last decade does, but a very old camera may not. The full-size SD adapter is included in this pack: the part number ends in SP, and Silicon Power labels that variant “with adapter”, so a laptop SD slot is covered too. Two limits worth knowing before you order. A2 performance depends on the host — the A2 standard needs command-queue support at the device end, and on a host without it the card simply behaves as an A1 card; it still works, it just will not show the app-loading advantage. And this is not a card for continuous recording: Silicon Power’s memory-card warranty explicitly excludes dashcams, security and surveillance cameras, digital signage players and other non-stop recording devices, and no endurance rating is published for this line. For a Nintendo Switch 2 you need microSD Express, which is a different standard entirely. Tell us the device and we will confirm the right card.

Best For

✓ Phones and tablets that take a microSD card
✓ 4K video on action cameras and drones
✓ Android handhelds and retro consoles running games from the card
✓ Everyday photo and video overflow storage
✓ Anyone who also needs a full-size SD adapter in the pack
✓ A fast general-purpose card that is not tied to one device

Key Features

V30 is the 4K guarantee
The V30 mark means a guaranteed 30 MB/s minimum sustained write. That is the floor camera and drone makers specify 4K recording against, and it matters far more for video than any peak read number.

A2 for apps, not just files
A2 is about random access rather than sequential speed — the pattern a phone or handheld uses when it loads an app or a game from the card. It needs host support to take effect, and falls back to A1 behaviour where that support is missing.

160 / 120 MB/s at 128GB
Silicon Power publishes these figures for the 128GB specifically. The larger capacities in the same family are quoted higher, at up to 170 MB/s read, so this is the card’s own number rather than a family headline borrowed downward.

Reader speed is part of the equation
Silicon Power notes that its top speeds need a card reader meeting the DDR200 specification, and that devices which do not meet it will run slower. A standard UHS-I slot tops out around 104 MB/s no matter which card you put in it.

Manufacturer Term Silicon Power states a 10-year limited warranty on the CreatePro CR30M product page, while its global warranty policy table lists 5 years for SD and microSD memory cards and does not yet name the CreatePro family; both documents exclude dashcams, security and surveillance cameras, digital signage players and continuous-recording devices. Singular’s direct warranty is 1 year; beyond that we assist you with the manufacturer’s warranty process for its full duration.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the SD adapter come with this card?
Yes. This part number ends in SP, which is how Silicon Power marks the pack that includes a full-size SD adapter, so you can use the card in a laptop or camera SD slot as well as a microSD slot. The bare card without the adapter is sold under a different part number.
Is this card fast enough for 4K video?
Yes for normal 4K. The V30 rating guarantees 30 MB/s of sustained write, which is the standard camera and drone makers specify 4K against, and the card is quoted at up to 120 MB/s write at this capacity. Very high bitrate modes such as 4K/120 or ProRes may ask for more; check what your camera manual names.
What does A2 actually do for me?
A2 rates random access rather than sequential speed, which is the pattern a phone or a handheld console uses when it loads an app or a game stored on the card. To see the benefit, the device itself has to support the A2 command queue. On a device that does not, the card works normally and simply performs like an A1 card.
Can I use it in a dashcam or a security camera?
We would not recommend it, and Silicon Power’s own warranty terms exclude dashcams, surveillance cameras, digital signage and other continuous-recording devices from cover. Those applications rewrite the same card around the clock and need a high-endurance card designed for it. Tell us the recorder model and we will point you at a card built for that job.
Singular Expert Insight
Within Silicon Power’s microSD range the CR30M is the fast general-purpose card, and the trap is the part number tail rather than the family name: the very similar Inspire cards share the same STXL and A2 segments and differ only in the last three characters, with one variant shipping a C200 card reader instead of an SD adapter. Order by the full part number and you get what you expect. The comparison that matters more day to day is against Silicon Power’s Elite line, which looks identical on a shelf at the same capacity but writes at 10 MB/s rather than 120 — fine for photos, useless for 4K or for running apps. Note also that the 128GB is the one capacity in this family quoted at 160 MB/s read and 120 MB/s write; 256GB and above are rated higher, so if speed is the reason you are buying, the larger card is genuinely faster and not just bigger. Browse our other SD and microSD cards, or add a card reader if you offload from a machine without a slot.

Buyer’s Guide

Buy it if

You need a fast 128GB microSD card for a phone, tablet, action camera or drone. You record 4K and want the V30 sustained-write guarantee behind it. You run apps or games from the card and want the A2 rating. You also want a full-size SD adapter in the pack rather than buying one separately.

Skip it if

You need a dashcam or surveillance card — this line has no endurance rating and the warranty excludes that use. You want a Nintendo Switch 2 card, which requires the different microSD Express standard. You only ever store photos and Full HD clips, where a cheaper Elite card does the job. You need more than 128GB of headroom, in which case the faster 256GB is the better buy.

Also consider

The 256GB CreatePro CR30M, which is both larger and quicker at up to 170 MB/s read and 150 MB/s write. A high-endurance card if the job is continuous recording. A DDR200-capable card reader if you want the full read speed when offloading. A full-size SD card instead, if the device you are feeding takes standard SD.
