Silicon Power Elite 128GB microSDXC — Class 10, U1, A1, with SD Adapter

128GB microSDXCClass 10 · U1 · V10 · A1Up to 100 MB/s readSD adapter in the box

The Silicon Power Elite SP128GBSTXBV1V20SP is a 128GB microSDXC card rated Class 10, UHS-I U1, Video Speed Class V10 and Application Performance Class A1, supplied with a full-size SD adapter. Silicon Power publishes up to 100 MB/s read and 10 MB/s write across this whole line, which places it squarely as a capacity card: somewhere to keep photos, music, documents and Full HD video on a phone, tablet or older camera without paying for speed you will not use. The A1 rating covers a minimum of 1,500 random-read and 500 random-write IOPS with at least 10 MB/s sustained, so apps stored on it will load, and automatic ECC error correction runs in the background.

Compatibility — check before buying:
The number to look at on this card is the 10 MB/s write speed. That is enough for Full HD 1080p recording, phone photos and general storage, and it is not enough for 4K video or for continuous RAW bursts — 4K is specified against U3 or V30, which guarantee 30 MB/s. Some cameras and drones will refuse to record 4K on a U1 card at all. If 4K is what you are buying for, Silicon Power’s CreatePro CR30M at 128GB writes at 120 MB/s and is the card you actually want; the two look nearly identical on a shelf. This card is microSDXC, so it needs an SDXC-capable host, and the full-size SD adapter is included in this pack — the version without the SP ending in its part number does not include one. Finally, Silicon Power’s memory-card warranty excludes dashcams, security and surveillance cameras, digital signage players and other continuous-recording devices, so this is not the card for those. Tell us the device and we will confirm what it needs.

Best For

✓ Phone and tablet storage for photos, music and documents
✓ Full HD 1080p video on a phone or an older camera
✓ Keeping apps and offline maps on an Android device
✓ A large, inexpensive capacity card rather than a fast one
✓ Anyone who also needs a full-size SD adapter in the pack
✓ Backing up a photo library away from the phone

Key Features

128GB of everyday headroom
Enough for a phone photo library, an offline music collection and a stack of Full HD clips without thinking about it. Silicon Power’s own arithmetic for this line puts the 512GB at around 75,000 photos or 39 hours of Full HD video, so 128GB is roughly a quarter of that.

A1 rated for apps
A1 guarantees a minimum of 1,500 random-read and 500 random-write IOPS along with 10 MB/s sustained sequential speed. That is the standard Android uses to decide whether apps can live on the card rather than only media files.

SD adapter included
The pack ships with a full-size SD adapter, so the same card drops into a laptop or camera SD slot as well as a phone or tablet. Silicon Power describes the Elite line as waterproof, temperature-proof and X-ray-proof; no IP rating is published, so treat it as resilient rather than submersible.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I record 4K video on this card?
Not reliably. Silicon Power publishes a 10 MB/s write speed and the card carries U1 and V10 marks, which are the Full HD level. 4K recording is normally specified against U3 or V30, meaning 30 MB/s sustained, and many cameras and drones will not even offer 4K when a U1 card is fitted. For 4K, choose the CreatePro CR30M or another U3 / V30 card.
Does the SD adapter come with it?
Yes. This pack includes a full-size SD adapter, so the card works in a laptop or camera SD slot as well as in a phone or tablet microSD slot. You do not need to buy an adapter separately.
What is the difference between this and the CreatePro CR30M 128GB?
Both are 128GB Silicon Power microSDXC cards supplied with an adapter, and on a shelf they look interchangeable. The difference is write speed: this Elite card writes at 10 MB/s and is rated U1 and V10, while the CR30M writes at up to 120 MB/s and is rated U3, V30 and A2. For photos, music and Full HD the Elite is the sensible buy. For 4K video, burst shooting or running games from the card, the CR30M is the one to take.
Singular Expert Insight
This is a capacity card, and judged as one it does its job: 128GB of storage for a phone, tablet or older camera, with an adapter in the box and a 5-year manufacturer term behind it. The mistake to avoid is buying it as a performance card, because the shelf description is almost word for word the same as Silicon Power’s much faster CreatePro CR30M at the same capacity — and the gap between them is 10 MB/s of write against 120. If what you do is store photos, keep music offline and shoot the occasional Full HD clip, that gap costs you nothing and you should keep the money. If you record 4K, shoot RAW bursts or run games from the card, it costs you the recording. One more thing worth knowing: every capacity in this Elite line is rated identically at 100 MB/s read and 10 MB/s write, so unlike most card families, stepping up to 256GB or 512GB here buys space and nothing else. Silicon Power publishes no endurance rating for the line and its warranty terms exclude dashcams and surveillance cameras, so a card that spends its life being overwritten needs a high-endurance model instead. Browse our other SD and microSD cards, or add a card reader if you offload from a machine without a slot.

Buyer’s Guide

Buy it if

You want a large, inexpensive 128GB card for a phone, tablet or older camera. What you store is photos, music, documents and Full HD video rather than 4K. You want the A1 rating so apps can live on the card. You also need a full-size SD adapter and would rather not buy one separately.

Skip it if

You record 4K video or shoot RAW bursts — 10 MB/s of write is not enough and you need a U3 / V30 card. You are buying for a dashcam or a security camera, a use Silicon Power’s warranty excludes. You want fast game or app loading on a handheld console, which needs A2 and real write speed. Your device takes full-size SD only and you would rather not use an adapter.

Also consider

The CreatePro CR30M 128GB if speed matters — U3, V30, A2 and 120 MB/s write for the same capacity. A high-endurance card if the job is continuous recording. The 256GB Elite if you want more room, bearing in mind it is exactly as fast as this one. A full-size SD card if the device you are feeding has a standard SD slot.
