The Smart Keeper UCL03YL is the Smart Data Blocker in yellow, from the Basic series of Smart Keeper’s Essential line. It plugs into a USB-A port and locks there, and from then on the port only charges: Smart Keeper states it blocks all data connection while allowing the port to be used for charging. It is released only with a yellow Lock Key Basic (U03). In practice it lets visitors, staff or customers charge a phone from a PC, kiosk, display or charging point without any chance of files being copied to or from the device, and without anyone pulling the blocker out and using the port for data. The system is purely mechanical — no drivers, configuration or power — so it works the same on Windows, macOS, Linux, thin clients and embedded devices.
Compatibility — check before buying:
No key in the pack: the blocker is released with a yellow Lock Key Basic (U03), sold separately — keys and locks are colour-coded and only the same colour opens it. It plugs into a USB-A port, and your device connects to it with its own USB-A charging cable (USB-A to USB-C, Lightning or micro-USB). It is not a cable lock: it does not hold a plugged-in cable in place — that is Smart Keeper’s separate USB Cable Lock, which looks similar. Smart Keeper does not publish a charging current, so charging speed depends on the port. Not sure? Tell us the device and we check it.
