Socket Mobile DuraScan D720 — compact Bluetooth 1D/2D scanner for phones, tablets and PCs
Bluetooth1D + 2DCharging dock includedIP54
Socket Mobile DuraScan D720 (CX4048-3111) is a compact cordless 1D/2D barcode scanner that pairs over Bluetooth with iPhone, iPad, Android devices and Windows 11 PCs — ideal for mobile POS, inventory on a tablet, events and field sales.
It reads standard retail 1D codes plus QR, Data Matrix, PDF417 and other 2D codes from labels and screens, and works either as a Bluetooth keyboard (HID) into any app or in Application Mode with apps built on Socket Mobile’s SDK. This version ships with a charging dock that keeps it topped up on the counter.
Before you order: In HID (keyboard) mode it works with almost any app. Some apps use Socket Mobile’s Application Mode for extra features — check that your POS or inventory app supports Socket Mobile scanners, or ask us.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
Socket Mobile scanners are the go-to choice when the POS is a tablet or phone: they pair easily, are supported by many retail and inventory apps, and are small enough to carry. They are not built for long range or warehouse abuse — for that look at rugged handhelds.
✓ Buy it if you run a POS or inventory app on a phone or tablet and want a pocket Bluetooth 2D scanner.
✕ Skip it if you scan at long range, in harsh warehouses, or need a USB-wired scanner for a PC.
→ Also consider Socket Mobile DuraScan D840 for a different form factor, or a Zebra/Honeywell handheld for a PC till.
Not sure which version fits? Send us your POS or ERP software, the host device (PC, tablet, terminal) and a photo of the barcodes you scan, and we will check compatibility before you order.
