The STAEDTLER 61 100 C6 is a Mars Lumograph 100 starter set: six premium drawing pencils in the grades 2H, HB, B, 2B, 4B and 6B, plus an eraser and a metal sharpener in a cardboard box — for sketching, technical and artistic drawing, from fine construction lines to deep shading.
Mars Lumograph is STAEDTLER’s professional graphite pencil range, made in Germany from PEFC-certified wood, with high break resistance. The six grades in this set cover the useful range from hard and light (2H) to soft and dark (6B).

What It Means in Practice
- Use 2H for light construction lines that are easy to erase, HB/B for general drawing, and 2B–6B for shading and contrast.
- The soft grades (4B, 6B) have thicker leads, which makes broad shading faster.
- Eraser and sharpener in the box mean the set is ready to use — useful for students and workshops.
- Break-resistant leads lose fewer tips when sharpening or dropping.
What Will Not Work
- It is not a tin: the set comes in a cardboard box. For a metal case choose the Mars Lumograph sets in a tin.
- It does not include very hard grades (above 2H) for fine technical drafting or extra-soft grades above 6B.
- These are graphite pencils — not charcoal, coloured or watercolour pencils.
- Single replacement pencils are sold separately by grade.
