STAEDTLER 3001 — double-ended watercolour brush pens, 18 colours
18 coloursBrush + fine tipWater-solubleWatercolour effects
The STAEDTLER 3001 TB18 is a wallet of 18 double-ended watercolour brush pens in assorted colours — one pen, two tips: a flexible brush tip for strokes of approx. 1.0 to 6.0 mm and a fine tip for lines of approx. 0.5 to 0.8 mm — for lettering, illustration and watercolour effects.
The ink is water-soluble, so you can draw with the pen and then blend with a wet brush to create watercolour effects on most watercolour papers. The brush tip varies line width with pressure, which is what makes it popular for hand lettering, while the fine tip handles outlines and details.
Before you order: for watercolour blending use watercolour paper. On thin copy paper the water-soluble ink can bleed through and the paper will cockle when wet.
