STAEDTLER Noris aquarell 144 10 Watercolour Pencils, Box of 12 Assorted Colours with Paint Brush, Break-Resistant
STAEDTLER Noris aquarell 144 10 — 12 Watercolour Pencils with Brush
The STAEDTLER Noris aquarell 144 10NC12 is a cardboard box of 12 hexagonal watercolour pencils in assorted colours plus one paint brush — a set that colours like a normal pencil and turns into watercolour as soon as you go over it with a wet brush.
It is a popular choice for children, schools and hobby painters who want watercolour effects without the mess of a paint box. The leads have STAEDTLER's A·B·S protection (a white protective coating that reinforces the lead and increases break-resistance), the wood comes from certified sustainable forests (PEFC), and the set conforms to EN 71.
What's in the Box
- 12 x STAEDTLER Noris aquarell 144 10 watercolour pencils, assorted colours
- 1 x paint brush
- Cardboard box
What It Means in Practice
- Use them dry for bright, normal colouring — then add water with the brush to blend and soften into a watercolour look.
- Best results come on watercolour paper or heavier drawing paper that does not buckle when wet.
- A·B·S coating means fewer broken leads when the pencils are dropped or sharpened.
- Individual colours from the 36-colour range can be added later.
What Will Not Work
- Thin printer or copy paper will wrinkle once you add water — use watercolour or drawing paper for wet techniques.
- No sharpener is included; STAEDTLER recommends the Noris 512 002 or 512 128 sharpeners.
- Once wetted and dry, the colour is not fully erasable.
- It is not an artist-grade professional watercolour set.
